I recruited electrical and mechanical engineers primarily for heavy industry. For now I keep busy with small projects and watching Lake Ontario go by in our backyard. :) Why so happy all the time? There is a verse in the Bible that says "The joy of the LORD is my strength." So no matter how I feel physically or mentally I know I must tap in to the happiness/joy God promised I could have if I just believed His indestructible Word. It's real as real can be...and it changes everything. I give all the credit to God for all the good stuff happening in my life and in my family's lives. :) |
Amen Brother

Was an electronic tech (electro-mech) but now I’m one of those unemployed/students that has become more common in recent years. I’m focusing on a business right now, hoping/waiting for the market to improve and enjoying the student discounts/lifestyle in the meantime. ;)

Working for a company now that's heavy into the controls side, it's fun and stays interesting. We do a lot of goverment projects and black buildings for Boeing. I get paid to see and go to some pretty cool places. :unibrow:

Some interesting jobs posted, thanks for sharing!
I've been a consultant to the major oil companies the last few years, but now I'm one of those salary guys. I work as a Sr Project Manager for a large offshore construction company. Degree in mechanical engineering. Our company owns the ships that are required to build all the subsea oil/gas fields at the bottom of your worldwide oceans. We are working in depths of almost 2 miles nowadays, with specialized equipment. Unmanned robot submarines (ROV's) and huge cranes and winches. I was fortunate enough to get into this field back when 1,500 ft was considered deep, and have stayed at the forefront of this technology. I enjoy the work, because every year it is something different and I work with different customers. I'm typically managing projects in the 30-100 M$ range, so it can be demanding and stressful at times. Even though I stay busy, I also find time to run a few hobby businesses on the side. I sell forged wheels for cars, do some automotive photography and writing, and run a few car websites. Tony |
I'm the IT Director for www.blankshirts.com, worked for summit racing a few years back in the Web Group. but didnt like the weather in Ohio so I moved back to Nevada and went to work for blankshirts.com. Been doing web stuff for about 15 Years. before switching carrers to IT I was a Machinist/Welder building Pro Stock Cylinder Heads and Manifolds for EPD Racing in NV
