absolutely amazing!!, i am really diggin the idea to split the hood and attach the sides straight to the fenders:faint:

it may already be on the "to-do" list but the center peice that that goes between the two front fenders and mounts the grill, could be modded so the seam where it attaches to the fender lines up with the new hood gaps.

It just feels like we are due for some updates....:hail:

customsfactory 04-26-2012 06:21 PM

What hinges are you using on the rear liftgate? They look really nice.

Thanks for the comments guys -
The hinges are actually the factory pieces, we just added the gas struts.

Will post updates soon.

BuiltByBrooks 04-27-2012 05:57 PM

Very Nice!!

67ragtp 06-12-2012 01:06 PM

I need a dose. Any updates?

Roadster Shop 06-13-2012 06:53 AM

No updates on this one. We have done a lot of little details and finishing work, but nothing really exciting. The truck is currently on hold while we get the metal work on a few other cars completed. We should be back on this one in a month or two.

We were actually having an issue with the tire getting real close to the pro-charger when fully turned. The fronts are a 295 on a 10" rim so they are still good sized meats for the front. I doubt that this will ever see any autocross action though.

XTRMEASURES 07-17-2012 09:42 AM

Love following yall guys builds, great work.... :hail:

alwcurlz 11-30-2012 09:48 PM

This metal fabrication and ideas for design are just incredible! Amazing project you guys have there! The hood/fender modification is an amazing and great idea! I saw the artist illustration while looking for 66 Burb pics and really liked the late 60's grill insert. If I buy this 66 Burb I'm looking at, this may be an exact direction I go in design! Like the fact the front turn signals are smoothed over. Reverse lights getting chopped? How about those hinges for the lower tailgate?

turnhard 10-09-2013 11:00 AM

Did I see this painted green in the back ground of the last craftsman truck video update? Kevin

To pick up where we left off...

A tweak to the rear bumper to blend it with the body lines a little more:

With the interior of this vehicle to become a focal point of the vehicle, the fist step (of many) was a modification to the factory dash which involved splitting the two 'humps' - you will see why later!
