Some really awesome pics in here!!

When I get home tonight, I'll try and add a few of my fav's... I am a photography hobbyist too. :)

Scott.. What lens you using for most your action pics? those look amazing...

My equipment:
Canon T2i with two telephoto kit lenses (17-55 and 55-250), and a 50mm f/1.8 prime lense (love it). Dream to get my hands on a 70-200 f2.8 L and a 17-50 range 2.8L.

So here is a few I've taken...

This past weekend at a local cruise-in:

http://albertdphotography.zenfolio.c...74536706-4.jpg

Car show from a couple weeks back:

http://albertdphotography.zenfolio.c...55040327-4.jpg

One of my favorites... my son and my girlfriends daughter. Taken with an "off camera" flash/softbox.. still trying to master the softbox/strobist style. This one however, turned out excellent. We were just in the back yard playing around.

http://albertdphotography.zenfolio.c...96774093-4.jpg

Another of my son.. a few weeks back.. out in front of my parents house. I had this blown up, and its hanging on his wall:

http://albertdphotography.zenfolio.c...10441149-5.jpg

Another:
http://albertdphotography.zenfolio.c...66385734-5.jpg

This one is edited. Its actually an "HDR" picture, 3 pictures taken in a row, at different exposure levels then later combined and tweaked. In the center of the pic, you can see the front face of Yosemite's famed Half Dome. This was taken from down in the central valley. Quite some distance away.:

http://albertdphotography.zenfolio.c...34120577-5.jpg

So theres a few of the ones I've taken recently...

I have more on my website (in my Sig) and you can also see a bunch more on my facebook: www.facebook.com/albertd.photography (go like my page  )

Thanks. It's all about catching mother nature's light just right. Those were shot as the sun was begining to set. It's amazing how short the lighting window can be 30-60 seconds and poof it's gone.

I always thought this was a great shot. My buddys girlfriend Nancy took this as we were getting ready to paddle out for a session in Mainland Mexico. She was the one who took my sig picture also.

Took this one in Portofino last week... and I wish I could have cut the irrigation line... but I really liked the way the foreground flowers took on the shape of the waterline in the background - so try as I might it just didn't look the same from another angle - so screw it! Took it with the line in the shot.

Here is one I stumbled across while looking. It isn't a high quality picture by any stretch... but as a Dad, the moment and the look on his face is pretty high quality. I'm just sayin'.

no problem and like I said it was just a few clicks so if you spent some time you could make it look perfect.

So I have been shooting for the magazines and GM for years and here is a cool shot we got to do with GM and the Military a few years back. This was a full Hydrogen vehicle that you could literally drink from the tail pipe.

The Truck

What they did with the shot

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...lt/image11.jpg

We get to do some cool stuff sometimes and being involved with cars has been such a cool experience.

A Venetian glass chandelier is hideous (IMHO) as it hangs from the ceiling..... But takes on a whole different dimension once I zoomed in....

It's still ugly --- but the different shot makes it somewhat interesting I think.

Bought a new camera, Canon Powershot S95, and a new to me truck so I'll be heading to the Rockies soon enough to visit and ride the Duc. That means I'll be posting pictures shortly thereafter :)

My Panasonic point and shoot disappointed so much on scenery shots that I had to replace it after a little more than a year. I have so many shots of CO from when I lived there and visited but they suck so much. I can play now with this Canon but I won't be in the same league as many of you guys. I will however be more focused.

Thanks for sharing y'all's pictures.
