I also have delirium strut rod bushings and a 1 1/8 front sway bar.

I'd REALLY like to see a picture of this. PLEASE?

Snapped some pics of the car real quick. Not the best quality but hopefully you can get an idea of what I am working with up front. Excuse all the dirt and grime...

front shocks

Used a simular setup on my fastback I replaced the upper arm with a AFCO piece with a Shelby drop . Made a custom mount which bolted up into where the old spring mount sat in the tower using AFCO shock mount welded to the removable plate ,this can be all built for a lot less than any Brand name setups .

Interesting upper mount placement. Heres another option that is common in Brazil on Mavericks. What do you think of this?

Its does not show well in the photo but that upper shock mount is adjustable

I think if he does anything with the front suspension other than what's already installed he'll install more Maier Racing products being he works there.

It wasnt a suggestion but more of a "if you did that then maybe you might have an opinion on this...: kind of post. My thoughts are, you better have a pretty serious Monte Carlo Bar if you plan on getting aggressive with this suspension design.

gotcha...

Maier does make a pretty strong shock tower brace. Completely welded and bolts to the firewall with 4 bolts and under the shock mounts.

I have to tell you -- dude -- you're amazing! Most "kids" your age would have just torn up the car and it would have ended up on blocks in the driveway. I'm very impressed that you've stuck with it - cause it's a LOT of work and a lot of $$ which I ASSume is scarce to begin with.

Good for you!
