Man, what a heartache and a headache. Glad Jody is able to help you though--what a great resource Lat G is. You will make it through --I think everyone has been through this in some way/shape/form--but it doesn't make it any easier. Phone calls that are never returned are the toughest for me personally. You can understand it happening once or twice---but over and over--that is tough to handle. Maybe there is a place in our community for a Vendor Hitman---or Collector. Guido the "Follow Through" hitman.

Sorry to hear that you are having these issues... I've been ordering parts for a new build I've just started and when I called my first vendor of choice that I've probably bought 3-4 transmissions from in the past I was given a 8-12 week delivery time for a T56 Magnum. I picked up the phone and called vendor #2 who had it on my doorstep for the same price a week later because they had several sitting on the shelf. I always say you should support the vendors that support your community but don't do it blindly. Sad fact is nowadays that you don't really know the truth to why that vendor is having issues and none of us can afford to give our hard earned $$ and not get our parts.

Well after I pm'd you Jody,Troy called me to tell me UPS just droped off three packages Clutch/trans mount/ hardware . No trans..... I thought UPS was delivering that to??? Troy told me that would come by truck . So will see if it shows up today....

I get frustrated with this as an enthusiast who works on his own car on his own schedule, I can't imagine how frustrating this would be as a pro-shop with customers demanding answers... I feel for ya!

I read through Greg Welds new thread ''ANOTHER HOTROD'' . If I'm SAR'S I'm kicking myself so hard in the ass its not even funny!! Look at the money this guy lost just on Gregs cars alone!. How do you let a guy Like Greg Weld slip through your fingers??? CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! He built this guy a roadster that had a ton of problems, Greg just wanted them corrected,not alot to ask right? But no instead they decided to piss this guy off enuff that he had to take his car to Brizio to get the problems corrected. And guess what now Brizio is building Greg a 33. So now SAR'S will never see a dollar of Gregs money again and Mr Weld has a couple of dollars to spend as we all know. Some of the other things that SAR'S may or may not realize is the circle of friends Greg has that may want to build something in the future(you know these big money dudes stick together:D ) I really don't think Greg will be recomending SAR'S anytime soon.So they loose on that end to. In the end bad customer service will get you sooner or later .. I have two more projects that I'll be funding in the very near future and there's a few guys that won't be getting my$$$$$$. It appears Mr. SAR(RY) doesn't have a clue what you're saying or he would have apologized to Greg and sent him a healthy check back.

I have done -- and will continue to do -- everything in my limited power to steer customers away from this shop. And you're right -- add in my friends -- and the discussion circle is like the rings created by tossing a rock in a pond.

The globe gets pretty small when you start screwing people like that. The stuff we saw Greg post was outrageous. Strips the warm and fuzzy right out of the build when you see quality slip like he showed us.

As always we are here to help as well. We don't build customer cars, we sell parts...thats it.

We are fully staffed to be able to JUST sell parts, this way tracking, backorders, ect can be handled properly. It takes me 5 people just to keep the day to day orders in place!

Do your research on the vendor and choose based on others experiences.

We aren't all bad, we don't all steal $$ and run, we place our orders for your parts the same or next day they are in...its simple!

12 years of doing the SAME thing helps!!!

I remember as a 23 year old I had built a cool RX7. Mechanically cool but still had ****ty paint. I didn't have any extra $$ at the time was working and going to school with a few hundred in the bank. I came out from work one night and my car wasn't in the parking lot. My heart sank. Filed a police report. They found it the next day stripped and burned. Police said they burn them so there are no fingerprints.

I didn't have $$ to build another car for years. Why the sad story because taking something from somebody who can't replace it is a big deal.

Here is the thing. GW has the $$ to fix the F up. That doesn't mean he should have to, he shouldn't, none of us should; but he can recover from a screwing over and his life goes on.

From what I know of Greg I would say he is concerned about the next guy, not revenge or not just himself.

What about the guy who has dumped all his disposable income into his dream at the same shop? Say he is a responsible guy and spent a bunch of $$ but the rest of his $$ was in savings and his home and places it should be for his and his family's future. Now that guys dream of enjoying what he earned is destroyed. What is he supposed to do take $$ out of his kids college fund or deny them something because he needs to spend twice what he thought so his car can even run.

A guy like this will probably end up selling the F'd up project at a loss and never get to enjoy his dream car. He may never. Unlike me losing something at 23 he is screwed. I had time to get in a place where I can afford to build what I want. Many people who wait til late in ife to enjoy what they have earned cannot recover.

People like the guy who runs that shop make me sick. Nobody should ever let anyone like that pay them off at the expense of the next guy. If you do that then you are no better than the guy who just tried to screw you.:bang: :bang:

Because it was his dream and all he had in the latter years of his life to obtain it.....
