I randomly will have 10-15 minutes to jump on a car site at different times throughout the day, so usually there isn't enough action on one or the other so I will click through my favorite forum sections on both. Each have a lot to offer and the conversation and post quality is infinitely better than other forums I have been a part of in the past.

I do wish there was a lateral-g app, that would make my updates on the run much easier.
|
I think the people here are why I like Lateral-G the most. It's the first time I have ever become a supporting member, and that's among all the different forums I belong to!

This thread is like the car wreck you come up on when you're driving on the Interstate......you try to look away, but you just can't. :D
Pro's and Con's on both sites, but for me more Pro's here. Definitely less clutter....and Jody & Scott do a great job here. The builds you see on this site provide some great knowledge and I have great appreciation for the innovation and skills that you guys possess. The humor here also keeps me coming back, like a favorite Vegas lounge act. Some of your occasional pissing contests are just downright hilarious. In the end, it's a personal choice. :lateral: |
I don't always post on forums, but when I do, I prefer Lateral-G. :lateral:

Lat-g is more condusive to letting real men express real feelings...
Nah! |
I started on Pro-Touring.com in the early years. 2002? Not sure, when P-T.com started, but it was before my current membership date. The database there crashed, and the members had to re-register. I still post on there, but it is rare. I moved over here in 2005. I always liked Lateral-g.net due to the design of the forum.
Both sites have good information, but I always found more on this site. Jeff |

I had conversations about Scotts car on ls1tech.com years ago and he invited me over. I've been here ever since. I also had a bad experience with a former sponsor here and they tried to get it resolved for me. When that happened, it really made me loyal to this place. Plus the advice and other parts I've gotten from here over the years. Thanks again. |
Both places are swell. Where else can you go to feel inadequate until you spend 6 figures to build your "ultimate" car and have significant parts of it be outdated by the time you are done? Then proceed to feel worse every time you see one of Stielow's updates... :willy:
Seriously, I am still trying to break my habit (at my wife's urging) of checking the "new posts" at both sites every day, but I can say I have several new friends, some of whom I've actually met, because of here and PT.com. I'm addicted to these places and I have a great desire to build another car, but talk myself out of it when I walk in the garage and see my Z06 and realize I paid less for it than I lost on my Camaro. I know I could spend my money smarter than last time, but the bar just keeps getting raised. :faint: The right project will hit me between the eyes some day and I am sure I will still be around here when it does. |
