The 07 Mustang came first. Darkside was started in May 2009 and completed in October 2012 and is the fifth build I have done over the past 20 years.

Am I the only Chevy guy wanting to see engine compartment pics of that Mustang? :sieg:

Nope, me too. I had the pleasure of meeting Jack at a track day at Thunderhill, with Greg and Charley. He builds great cars.

Is the rubber hose on the end of the air intake brake ducting? Where can I buy that hose?

Jack Maurer 02-15-2013 07:21 PM

Blower intake

The hose connects to a K&N air filter. Kenny Belll strongly believes locating the source of intake air out of the hot engine bay area. There are brake cooling ducts, but you can not seem them in this pic.

DaleTx 02-15-2013 08:27 PM

Jack... on the Camaro, I noticed that you built a custom cold air intake for the single plane carb set up. It looks like it draws cold air in from the back of the cowl induction hood rather than from above. Does that work pretty well?... it looks very clean. I have not seen one set up that way before. I was wondering if you made modifications to the underside of the hood or left it stock.

Yes the underside of the hood was modified to accommodate the the air cleaner assembly. All the air for the intake comes from the back cowl area; I wanted it work like a true cowl induction intake.

GregWeld 02-17-2013 04:54 PM

Let's take a poll ---

1) Was Jack just being socially polite?

2) Was Jack trying to loosen her up??

Which pics do we want to see more of?

A) Jacks Mustang?

B) Jacks Camaro?

C) Courtney?

My ride, her ride

We mutually agreed that Darkside was too much for her and there was no way I could handle her, so we went back to or respective rides.
