What's going on... UPDATE!!!!!!!!

The Cuda looks stellar but then again all of your builds do. |
The 69 mustang is being built as a track car for a customer from Kansas. He has a Ford GT and just about every version of the newer Mustangs that are out. He wanted to do a 69 that he could use for track days to play with and have something more unique than what is normally out there. It has a 5.8L S/C Shelby motor with a T-56. Fully independent chassis. Anvil carbon front end and we widened the quarters. We will have to start a build thread on this and another 65 Mustang we have going to prove that we also build Ford stuff. If you are lucky Rob, we may even start a thread on the Fairlane and Falcon that we have going on.

Since the last post we have done a lit of the little stuff like mounting master cylinders, pedals, wiper motors, steering, fuse box, gas tank, and A/C. On the fab side we have finished the inner fenders, front and rear valances... and mounted the turbos. |
This thing is just awesome. I'm a Chevy guy through and through but I love the Early 70's Cudas and Challengers. Very nice build, the owner should be very happy!
I Love the wheels, I thought about going with a finish like that for the lip of my wheels but I wasn't brave enough. That blue is too cool! |
Incredible work.

Neatening up the rear bumper and tucking the front with fender recess:

Interesting turbo set up.

Insane build guys!
Is that like the STS turbo system at all? |

Big thanks for the newest pictures!!

Remember I get first dibs on this car when and if the owner ever wants to sell it.

Those bumper brackets get more style points than my whole car! WOW! |
The interior rendering is filthy!!

Still waiting for the Mustang, Falcon, and Fairlane build threads.
OK. The cuda is pretty cool too. :D |

Awesome build going on here. But that's become standard with RS. |
Would like to see what you guys have done for this great build...
 |
What happened to this, no updates?

Here are a couple of the last details up until now: Finishing up the remaining underhood sheetmetal: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7319/...3a76b5ea_b.jpg https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2884/...c7de7ffe_b.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3681/...488b39aa_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7431/...50f2be0d_b.jpg |
Instead of the 'bolt on' style spoiler in the concept, we decided a more integrated look would be better for this car:

I am glad I sold you guys this car because there is no way I would have gone as far as you guys have on it. Incredible work as always guys.
|
Just curious -- real lead or lead-free solder.
|
AAAAAAHHHHHH!!
Great to see some new pics, I can relax and enjoy...  |
Great work guys! Looks awesome.
|
Love how you bevelled the egde of the spoiler and contoured it into the quarter panel.. Makes for a cleaner look.
|
the blend at the junction of the spoiler and the rear quarter were handled sensitively. There is a much larger opportunity to make that heavy-handed but this is lovely.
|
I agree, it's real nice.
|
Truly amazing and inspiring work...............
Makes me feel so inadequate......:D |

maybe a dumb question - did you cut the trunk lid and quarter panel ? it looks a bit like you welded it on top rather than cutting the metal and butt welding it. Actually it looks like you might have hammered the metal down a bit and then top welded it. Definitely looks nicer than a bolt on style.
Thanks for the update, love those Cudas. |
Wow....... Well done sir......
Chris  |
Another incredible build, that integrated spoiler looks awesome.
|
Incredible Attention To Details!!
|
absolutely beautiful car, very well done
|
This color on the car looks incredible I can't wait to see it in person.
|
Thanks guys - the color (Ferrari Grigio Silverstone) looks really nice, can't wait to see how this one looks in the sun (if we get any).

The Rontourage will tell you how awesome that color is. We painted the bumper for Ron's Camaro and when it was all polished up and out in the sun it has an amazing depth for grey.
The 'Cuda looks great, as with the rest of the RS projects, I could geek out over the details and execution for days. Matt |
