Decided to go with a Strange 35 spline S-track. Have read good things. Anyone running one? Also having REM treatment done to the gears, bearings and chrome moly yoke. Never heard of the process before. The benefits of taking the differential to one of the best race car builders in the country. :G-Dub:

Some of their work in the pic.

Nice! Micro polishing is available as an option on some parts from Strange Engineering, too. It's a neat process.

I had my gears for my 12 bolt REM'd by G-force, which is a customer of mine. It is amazing what it looks like and how slick it is. I can give them anything and they will throw it in for me.

Cool stuff. Anyone notice the scalloped ring gears for rotating mass reduction? Won't need that on a street/track car. Those are built for cars where every tenth or thousandth counts.

Looks great! That rear end almost looks too nice to bury away in the housing. Wish there was a way to make a see through housing.

cjfirstgen 07-24-2015 11:25 AM

DSE subframe braces. Still need tig welded. Seat pan was in great shape after 46 years. Nothing a little POR 15 can't handle for another 45 years. Then some cleanup and reapplying some dynamat.

Test fit on the flush glass. Not much gap work needed. Following what was done for the gaps on the Goodguys Camaro.

Classic Auto Glass Innovations

This thing is coming out Sweet! The glass looks nice and tight in there. Are the brakes & rotors on there while your using the spares as rollers? If so what are they from?
Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks.

Had to remove the 6P calipers for those to clear. They will clear the 4P. They are 18" C5 Vette spares. I think they were the last ones before Vettes no longer had spares. Found them on CL.

Really? Robert Jackson actually delivered product??

Glad it worked out for you,

Getting close on the flush glass fitment. Extended the A-pillar and changed the body line on the fender. Needs finishing but happy with the results.

Getting closer on the semi - shaved drip rails. Or at least that is the best way to describe them. The finished result will be more of a body line feature but also functional where it mostly hides the window seal.

Not a bad starting point. Passenger side needs some metal work while the driver side needs both bumper and fender modification. Will look good when finished.

Coming along nicely. I like your take on the drip rails. I'm not sure I've seen someone do an in between style. Do you plan to paint it body color or maybe a trim color?

Thanks. They will be body color and be more of a body line feature when final finished.

Hi Mate.

I got curious so I started to look at your build thread, I can't wait to sit down and read it from start to finish. Awesome attention to detail. It's rolling art mate. Cheers Trevor

Little bumper adjustment.

cjfirstgen 11-06-2015 04:16 PM

Some fender modification. Fender extension welded along with some body line adjustment for bumper fitment. Will finish welding with the Tig and silicon bronze filler rod then blend.

cjfirstgen 11-06-2015 04:21 PM

Function over form for the fuel pump access panel on account of being centered over the pump as opposed to the trunk pan. It will be covered by carpet anyhow. Then back on the rotisserie for more finish welding with the tig.

It looks good, that detail on the drip rail is a nice idea. I love to see the bumpers fit to the body. Nice work.

cjfirstgen 11-20-2015 09:02 PM

Roughed in some rocker sections on the tailpan and rear quarter. Should make for some clean body lines.

Hi.

Hi. I love all the subtle changes you're making. I mean everything is still there, but it's been tweaked a little. It's going to be awesome when you're done. I can imagine people walking around her and just continually finding or noticing all the little details that will add up to make her different. Just straight out love what you're doing.

Drip rail metal work completed. The edge will be more subtle once it is body worked. Cleaning up the rest of the metal work. The quarter and tail panel rocker extensions turned out great. Subtle but a great finished look.
