Smoke here is a little better this evening... but it's been VERY smokey all week. We just got back from Rafting and Kayaking The Middle Fork of the Salmon River... and went down the river with burning logs that had slid down the steep hill sides and right into the river... With 3000' canyon walls - the smoke was trapped in this pristine area - and it was pretty bad.

My buddy and his wife took their kid off to college - and on their return flight from Denver - the pilot aborted the landing here (Sun Valley, Idaho) because he couldn't see the runway.... they turned around and went back to Denver. OUCH.

Have to say - Oregon and Washington have it just as bad, if not worse.

What size are the wheels and tires? I feel like you're building the Jag equivalent of the '69 Vette Im going to start working on this winter! British racing green (actually fathom green) and I have a stock 2003 LS6 that Im seriously considering the stack injection. Also planning on running those ET wheels but haven't settled on a size/tire combo yet. Great work so far....definitely one of my favorite builds in a while!!

Car is pretty much done, except for a reliable ECU. After 2 FAST controller failures and 3 harnesses, Robert is giving up on that product and is having another ECU/harness system built. Should be done soon and I will post some photos of it on the road. It looks great!

Thanks for the reply. Loved the car.:thankyou:

Amazing build!

You should apply to show it at the Quail in 2021 if you can get out to Pebble Beach for a week, and park it next to the Koenigseggs, Bugattis, McLaren F1s, etc.

They love builds like yours :)

Most of Car Week in Pebble is full of stodgy old white guys that turn up their noses at anything modded.

But the Quail is the best event of the week where anything fun, fast, original, or esoteric is welcome - homebrewed or not.

(Other than the historic races at Laguna Seca, of course.)

Boosted Falcon 07-28-2020 08:51 AM

Such a great build, well done.
