More updates from my last visit to GAP Racing. Body and engine wiring is in progress, JW Speaker headlights now in and billet grill was installed. Still need to swap the halogen driving lights for the LED version that includes turn signals. Plumbing is next on the list. Hoping to have it running by Christmas.

Very clean! Coming along nicely.

Some more progress on my Camaro at GAP Racing (see sponsor banner to left :D). Wiring and plumbing are both >80% complete. Having to tweak the Painless engine harness in a couple places to make it fit correctly and will then cover it with braided wire loom. Got the Braille battery mounted using the very trick black powder coat billet piece from B&B Classics, Inc. (see sponsor banner to left :D). Pic of the interior was as good as I could get with my point and shoot at the time.

Thanks for all the comments. Hoping to have one piece headliner from TMI in the next 2 weeks and start making decisions on interior coverings.

Lots of updates since the last post . . . and getting close to being complete. Switched from stock intake to the TSP sheet metal part; fabricated cold air intake tube with close out panel; Rushforth Nightrains 18" wheels with Pirelli tires; interior is mostly complete - MCC console, Marquez door panels, Corbeau GTS II seats, cut pile essex carpet, TMI one-piece headliner, Modo Innovations pedal covers; lots of wiring complete . . . enjoy the pics.

Love the door panels and console. Very clean look. Glad you're still making progress with the car.

How well did the TMI one piece headliner fit? I really like the look.

Regarding the TMI headliner . . . well, I received serial number one or two that was sold to the public. With that said, I would say the fit needed some improvement, especially in the areas where it fit against the front and rear windshield. In fact, at the rear glass I will need to fabricate some trim to make it look "right" and cover the gap.
Check out the install of one of the more recent productions on camaros.net. They selected the vinyl covering which I really like but was not available when I purchased mine (only available in Unisuede). Notice the picture of where the headliner rolls up into the molding at the top of the rear glass in Post #5. My headliner does not do that. If it did it would fit better and I would not need to fabricate the trim piece to cover the gap. http://www.camaros.net/forums/23-int...ls-w-pics.html So in short it looks like TMI addressed the issues with fit since I received my product. It would of been nice for TMI to contact me with the information about the improvements as I happened to stumble across the newer pictures on camaros.net looking at to fix the issues with mine. |
