How do you like the Ultimate Headers? I'm considering them, not sure if they will work in the Chevy II though ---

NovaBlue71 12-02-2014 05:29 PM

Brandon, ultimate headers are a pretty nice piece and alot easier on the wallet too. We are a dealer for them let us know if we can help on chevy II.

Sales@Dutchboys 12-02-2014 05:34 PM

Thanks guys! We appreciate all of the positive comments about the car! This car has come a long ways since it came through the doors. We cannot wait to get out on the track this year with the customer and start having some fun!

Brandon, The Ultimate headers are awesome, You cannot beat them for the price. I will call and talk with Jim tomorrow and see what he thinks about the Chevy II fitment and get back with you. If they will work, I will get you a good price on them.

i think the center outlet headers would work. we have this model on our chevy two and it interfered with the frame mounts to the firewall, so we put them on a mill and angle milled the flanges away from the firewall, which got them closer to the 4l80e and starter. but the ground clearance is unbeatable.

Paul and Joe, great job as always. I need to stop by the next time I head to Mi, might be in Jan!!

A few updates on the car, We have been very busy around the shop with other projects and the addition going on the shop but still have been making good progress on the car.

We are hitting it hard this week and shooting to have it to the interior shop first part of the week.

This one should be named Brimstone or Damnation to go along with Hellfire.

Car looks great, guys. Good luck moving forward.

Sales@Dutchboys 01-18-2015 09:39 AM

Thanks everyone! We very much appreciate all of the positive comments about the car. We are very excited to get it out this summer and see the customer enjoy it at some shows and events.

We are sending it to the interior shop next week and hope to have most of the car assembled here in the next few months.

Not sure if we are going to make cobo with it or not. We have been really busy at the shop with construction and other builds we have gotten a little behind. We will see though. Will be sitting pretty good by spring to start shaking it down.

Jeff, Been making some progress on my new build. Not as much as I would hope but is coming along. All of the customer cars have had me pretty busy and not to much free time to dedicate to it. I need to make a build thread of it and post some updates here soon.

A few more pictures from the last few days. We got the doors on and have been doing some assembly work getting it ready to go to the interior shop.

Bring it back

Love this build don't want to call it mild, but when you start looking at rs shop and some of the others I guess it might fall into that category. But for us everyday guys it's the kind of quality and craftsmanship we would all some day hope are cars could be amazing work guys. Plus goes to show you don't have to do so many body mods to make the car timeless.

I spent a few days at the shop with the guys and helped with a few small projects on the 67. We have a Dyno day scheduled at the end of May. Let's fire this baby up!

waynieZ 05-10-2015 04:24 PM

Thanks for all the kind words guys! I haven't had much time to post many updates lately, We have been making great progress getting this one close to wrapping up. We hope to be testing in the first part of June. Waiting for a few odd and end parts to come and all of the plumbing will be a wrap.

Front end is just about finished being sanded and buffed. We will be installing that this week.

Here are a few quick pictures I have off of my phone. Ill get some more posted up later this week!

Back to work.

Sigh.....You're not making this addiction of mine any easier. :twak:

GregWeld 05-19-2015 06:58 AM

I really like the simple - no nonsense - approach to this car. Clean - functional - very nice - but you know there's not a bunch of wasted super fancy upholstery trying to make a useless "show car" out of it. One look in the trunk tells me they expect to actually put stuff in there and not get too worried about messing it up. I like it!

Dave Pratt 05-19-2015 07:20 AM

That's just great work all around...one of the best 1st gens I've ever seen

It's funny that is exactly what I was thinking when I saw these pictures. I had sent JCG Chris a few pics of a rear seat delete and he was saying that they were doing more and more simple work. Just like we see here at Dutchboys.

Looks like the less is more theory is going to be next trend with pro-touring cars and here is a perfect example.

ps Now his 2nd gen that is a entirely different animal. Still less is more but holy crud the body mods are awesome.

We seem to float between cars that are more show/performance and street fighter/performance. Personally I would think that this car is a great example of balancing the two.
