Eric,

Well, you've definitely got the cool factor covered. :wow:

Plus the neighbors must be thankful for your contribution to their rising property values. :unibrow:

The neighbors think it's a riot and that I'm mostly nuts, but hey... better known for that than other crap ;)

Yes, I HAD to test fit the body last night for no other reason than just because.

I found a couple areas where it's catching and my measurements for the front strut bars for the front spoiler were off, hence the front nose sticking up too much, I'll have to move those at a steeper angle on the front nose.

The air inlet tube isn't looking promising as it hits the rear body work, I'll try and rework it once I get the rear clam in it's final place and bolted up.

The exhaust pipes somehow got misaligned so I'll have to fiddle with those to get them to line up properly in the holes. I'll also have to enlarge one hole on the drivers side, as it's touching the pipe.

It was suggested by more than one person that my clutch pedal is probably out of adjustment as well. And since it SNOWED, yes snowed last night, I wasn't able to test out the new adjustment.

Nothing on the suspension is right so that'll be another task to tackle.

But for now, mother of hell it looks awesome!

Eric, Looks incredible !!!!

Was this somewhat easy to build? Ive been thinking about getting one at some point but not sure how hard it would be to build verses a Factory Five where they give you the giant manual.

I think so, no more headaches or difficulty than building anything else really.

MaxHarvard 04-27-2015 06:50 PM

Made a very quick little video with a walk around and a start up.

LOUD NOISES!!

jlwdvm 04-28-2015 07:47 AM

Does your Stack dash plug directly into the OBD port for the motor? Any reason you choose that dash over the other digital dashes on the market?

John510 04-28-2015 09:53 AM

great video!

Nope. I wish it did but it doesn't.

Honestly, I got it because I've used it before and its awesome and #2 it fits perfectly in the dash.

Mild updates... Little tasks are under way, worked solidly for 6-7 hours the other night and very little physically changed. Ah well, that's how the details go.

Test fit the front clip.

Got the rear tail lights to work with functional reverse lights.

Mounted pass. side mirror.
http://www.impermanence.kungphu.com/...64489673_n.jpg

Fabbed up an inner door panel out of aluminum and plastered with vinyl faux carbon fiber wrap... Probably going to change this eventually when the interior is completed but for now it works.

Underside of the door handle.

Shark fin for mounting camera.

Gratuitous rear-end shot for no other reason than just because.
http://www.impermanence.kungphu.com/...19644870_n.jpg

Crude alignment.
http://www.impermanence.kungphu.com/...30041262_n.jpg

Calibrating the fuel sending unit with my lovely assistant whom does not need calibrating.
http://www.impermanence.kungphu.com/...20483674_n.jpg

Aerocatch studs. Made a series of aluminum plates top and bottom to support the studs.

Pic of 90* air intake. Again, crude but effective.

Wow is all I can say.

Are you going to be street driving this beast and if so how hard is it to get titled and insured ?

I talked to my agent about a Brookville Roadster pick up and they told me that I wouldn't be able to insure it through them and would have to go to a specialty insurance company and suggested I take a 2million dollar umbrella policy as added protection.

Evan Iroc-Z 06-02-2015 08:16 AM

What an absolutely beautiful build!

Yep, it is street driven. I got license plates and will have to get it inspected before I get the full title. So we'll see how that goes.

As far as insurance, I went through my regular agent and did an agreed value policy that would cover the cost of parts, but no labor. $500/ded and a full year payment. Cheaper than my daily!!

Looking good, nice job!

MaxHarvard 06-05-2015 07:22 AM

Thanks guys! This thing is a damn rocket!

So I took the car out to shake it down a little bit and work out some of the 'brand new car build' kinks.

I was LITERALLY mobbed by about 10 people when I drove up to the local parts store (those guys and I have a history, not all of it good) to show it off to them.

http://www.impermanence.kungphu.com/...11223689_o.jpg

The second I pulled into the driveway I was again mobbed but this time by the neighborhood kids.

at least I'm neighborhood famous and not known as the "creepy dude" down the street LOL

syborg tt 06-05-2015 08:11 AM

I can honestly say this is one of the coolest cars out there. I can't wait to here your feedback on this car.

As far as the creepy guy goes are you sure your not the creepy guy with the cool car ??

ps Just kidding. :king:
