It looks like you used two pieces to make that. A bottom piece that is flat with a the raised up portion for the R and the A's, and another piece which has the letters stamped through..........could be wrong though:headscratch:

Evan Iroc-Z 10-10-2013 06:08 AM

Are those billet C10 logos a one off design? Or are they available for sale?

These are one-off for the truck - the 'C' is actually a Craftsman logo they use and 'By Roadster Shop' gets engraved on the bar below the '10'. So they are kind of specific to this truck. Stay tuned for the final pics of the emblems and we could probably run a set for you if you like them.

Darn, I looked at the N and see a little black around it, like the N is stamped through and then just laid on top of the tailgate:headscratch:

Chris, Do you guys have an Apelio?

I thought the same thing, then I just gave up trying to figure out how they do what they do. Simply Amazing!

We don't. Would be cool though!

They're pretty awesome. That was my guess on how you did the letters. Either that or someone is pretty handy with a beadroller.

badmatt 10-10-2013 08:20 PM

Or they machined some poly die's on that Haas they bough and used a pullmax or a press?

Trust me I am following this build as closely as possible. I am loving it. I'm guessing you wouldn't be able to use the Craftsman C due to copyright stuff, which is fine I am more interested in the Chevy C, but as of right now I am sold on getting a set.

RS-Chris 10-14-2013 07:28 AM

Good guesses on the tailgate, but the mystery goes on!

The next episode is up - Engine and Transmission.
The C-10 is receiving a Don Hardy LS3 making just over 550hp and Tremec T-56 Magnum.

any chance you have pictures from GG Columbus when Kenny parked it in front of your tent. Now that would be a great before and after picture.

I had a few on my phone but deleted them a few weeks ago. There are some good pictures of the truck (as it arrived at the shop right after Columbus) on page 1 of this thread.

Totally different... :_paranoid

lol, I was waiting until I read all the posts to say this, and I see someone already made the comparison!

I'm in love with this truck. You guys have done an incredible job on it, although looking at your history I would expect nothing else.

I would like some of this spray. I thought about doing this as well. I was gonna have the letters CNCed and the put on the press or just have them laser cut and build a jig for each letter. I keep looking to see trace marks of the bead roller. I cant see any.

More '68-'72 C10 builds are gonna start after this one debuts...classy and cool with serious guts underneath that great exterior.

To me they took off last year when RS did the orange truck, and no limit and smittys built to run autocross to conquer the truck class. There are a couple more serious trucks being built right now that have a little press on them.
