Looks like you are having a ton of fun marty.

Picked up the car the car Friday morning and wow am I happy.

I can't thank the guys at G5 Carbon enough for making the Carbon Fiber happen for the Camaro. It has totally
transformed the look of my car and it's like having a new car.

I also want to thank,

Paul at Need4Speed for offering the new MR228 Wheels as they complete the look I was going after.

The Guys at Aerosports Concept for offering the Wicker Bill which completed the look.

Tyler and the guys and gals at JDP Motorsports for the Tow Hook, Stainless Works Exhaust, Cats and Headers.

DEI for the Tranny tunnel heat Shield and the Sound Deadening in the trunk.

Gen5DIY for being a one stop for all of the ZL1 conversion parts for the rear diffuser and the ZL1 Grille

Emblem Pro's for making the one off Grille emblem ( should be here soon )

Show Stoppers for the Paint, Bodywork and installation of the G5 Carbon Parts.

Bill & Scott at Super Car Performance for installing the suspension, rear brakes last year.

and finally Victor Fulton for the putting my thoughts to paper and doing the rendering. (ps Victor we need to update the hood part, sorry)

Without all of these guys my car would still be sitting in my garage and all of the parts would still be in my Warehouse.

Better pictures tomorrow morning as I plan to shoot the car before the sun comes up.

Thank you again to all who have helped me get this Car Transformed and ready once again last minute for this years Power Tour.

After the Power Tour the plan is to install the Stainless Works Exhaust, Pulley and get the motor tuned and see if we can get 650hp out of the car.

Install the Harness Bar, Recaro seats, ZL1 Shifter, and the Kicker Sub Box.

The Wish list would be to have a set of red factory seat belts made for the car and it will be complete.

Next step is to change up the engine by adding some color to it.

http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...1f5d96eff6.jpg

Since the guys at G5 Carbon never rest and keep coming up with cool parts to rid the Gen5 of the plastic and
create cool carbon parts I decided I needed to buy the trunk filler panel.

syborg tt 05-24-2015 08:20 PM

Up next is the Stainless Works Headers & Exhaust that should arrive on Tuesday.

http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...9895325c75.jpg

And the final piece to the puzzle is the SLP Cold Air Intake.

Still got the bike mount? I was gonna do a trunk mount for mine, but i tossed that idea, thinking about some boring roof (removable) Thule. Still would like a something at the trunk.

Well, I pretty much hate cleaning cars so the Chrome had to go so after seeing Steilows new Camaro at Sema last year. I new i wanted to change the color on the trim and wheels. So Kenny sent off the wheels and trim to the Powder Coater and we had them coated in a Titanium color. Very similar to what Audi used on the R8 which is where the color for the car came from.

The bottom of the dash was Krinkle Coated and we also added down bars under the hood. A few other things were done but I can't remember them right now.

Thank you I am really excited about the transformation. I can't wait to get the headers, Exhaust and the Recaro seats installed. It will seriously feel like a new car at that point.

Beautiful!!!

DFRESH 05-24-2015 09:13 PM

Looks killer Marty. I love the new Camaros---especially when they sit like yours. The carbon hood on it is perfect.

Can I ask how much you paid for the seats when you got them?

Doug

Thank you and it looks like i need to raise the front about 1/2 as I noticed a little tire rub on the passenger side fender lip.

I picked up the seats from a member on Camaro5 forum for $2200.00 plus shipping. The Passenger seat was never sat in and the Drivers seat had 10,000 miles on it but the dealer installed new foam and covers the week before it shipped. So I got a smoking deal.

Payton King 05-26-2015 09:49 AM

That thing is way cool. Good choice in updating yours.

Looking good man. Thanks for all the help with my Camaro.

We racing late models? Your Camaro against my Corvette? :stirthepot:

It needed it badly. I never really like the stripes on the hood and dislike stripes on the trunk of 5th gens. So it had to be done and like I said in a previous post I really wanted to buy a new Z28 but just couldn't justify a car that I would rarely drive. So I spent a few dollars on this one and it's much easier to only have to wash two cars vs three cars.

I am pretty confident that your Corvette may kick my Camaro's butt. Plus I really need to work on my driving skills before I take it out on the track. I am bumbed that I missed the instructional track day last week at Road America with the Lotus club. I have a Theory and I firmly believe behind ever good driver was a great instructor and my plan is to pick up a 3rd gen just for learning how to effectively and safely drive on a track.

FaBrycation 05-27-2015 09:52 PM

Thank you and it was good seeing you at Sema.

As for the Camaro I am finally happy with the way it looks. I still have a few more things to do to the car but I have the summer to do it.

Plus I am back to working on the Mountain bikes and buying yet another new wheel size for my fat bike. 27.5+. The bike industry really has to stop to coming up with new stuff for fat bikes.

FaBrycation 05-28-2015 12:58 PM

Is it the bike companies or our interest in too many hobbies?

I put a lot of time and thought into the Carbon Fiber update and want to keep the car simple looking. I looked at the new ZO6 for inspiration and also worked with Pete at Showtime Automotive and together we came up with a plan to get the car to where it is today.

Odd the local Police don't seem to agree

Next up will be to finish the interior upgrades to include the Recaro Seats, 1le Shifter, Suede Shifter Boot & Handle.

... and possible the Harness Bar and 4 Point Restraints. (track use only)

The original SLP tune was nice but it would hunt at idle. I asked the guys at Speed Inc for a "Street Tune" and that is exactly what they gave me and the car just drives incredible.

ps I will never turn Traction Control off again because it breaks the tires loose going into 4th gear which is enough to scare the **** out of you.

I guess when we look for more HP this goes under be careful what you wish for, but in a good way.
The car looks gret Marty.
