jarhead 08-17-2018 12:33 PM

this is so cool! Now I have to visit Sweden!

I had to chuckle at all the XC90's in that one picture, we have one as well and see them everywhere here.

warhawkchevelle 08-17-2018 11:32 PM

Yeah, Thanks guys. It feels really fun to build now 😁

Starting to be cold nights over here now so I parked away the longroof for the winter. I gotta run the Chevelle next summer 😁😁

I put on some more parts today, I will do some brake lines this weekend and mount my core support so me and a buddy can do the finishing designs for supercharger brackets and get it built :D

rixtrix1 08-24-2018 12:50 PM

Nice old wagon!

glassman 08-24-2018 07:24 PM

when r your long/warm months? or how many weeks? putting it away in August makes me sad.....longer nites to put it together and have her ready i guess?

Looks killer...

warhawkchevelle 08-25-2018 07:32 AM

I took out today again. We got a driver and going for a Cruise and beers in the town next to us.

Late august/ beginning of september usually and then we got bare roads in beginning of may.

So much downtime but thats why we got snowmobiles :D

Slow progress, its a lot of planning to remember all parts when ordering from your country and getting it to Sweden :whistling:

The axle and brakes are finally assembled and I will measure and order braided brakehoses tomorrow.

Im getting it registered as a modified vehicle so I need to get a build inspection Done before I can mount body also.

Regarding venting of rear axle, I have AN3 male barb on housing.
Any ideas for filter or roll over valve or What have you used?

All hoses and Clamps are finally in place, now I can book time for inspection of the build for my registration as a modified vehicle.

That has to get approved before I can mount body again.

Now the car is back at home.
Next step is to rewire the car with the American Autowire kit and do the wiring for my Fueltech FT500 EFI system

Had a radio delete panel so thats where the FT500 dash/ECU will dit. Gotta get it chromed and painted also before I install.

A buddy left his Drag Week Corvette in USA so he is flying over in november and upgrading it so he’s bringing home a Dakota Digital RTX for me.

WSSix 10-04-2018 04:26 PM

Congrats! That's quite the accomplishment. The car is looking good! Hope you have a productive winter this year finishing the car.

Thank you!
We`ll see if I have enough time, energy and money to finish it this winter.
Waiting on a new sled also, hoping for a lot of deep snow and steep hills this winter also

Me and a buddy started to design supercharger brackets tonight. He is drawing it up in Solidworks so we can do a first mockup.

warhawkchevelle 11-09-2018 10:45 PM

Had to redo my transmission tunnel, didnt get good angles so I lifted the Tremec in the rear.

warhawkchevelle 12-13-2018 01:17 PM

Slow to none progress, been busy at work but Im getting ahead soon so I can keep going with the Chevelle.

I need to order gauge cluster and steering column so I can assemble the interior and get it Rolling for headers and exhaust building.

I like to do something other than just basic car stuff once in a while so I bought some stereo parts also, should be fun :gitrdun:

warhawkchevelle 12-14-2018 11:23 PM

Ordered myself a RTX instrument yesterday. A buddy is shipping some cars and parts in a 40foot container to Sweden at new years so hopefully it will arrive mid february here.

https://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k...B04C730CA6.jpg

Back of dash was just spraypainted over surface rust so right now its soaking in a Strip-all tub, was to big too fit in my blaster cabinet.

We have been designing more on the mount for my supercharger, gonna ditch the manual tensioner and do a springloaded tensioner on the lower side instead.

I have been having problems that my IP-adresses at home have both been blocked so I am posting this from work.

Hoping that a Admin can help me with that :)

waynieZ 01-04-2019 05:01 PM

Nice looking gauges. You did a great job on the dash nice and clean, I wish the 69 Camaro dash came out like that would make working under there much easier for this not so thin guy lol. I just picked up an RTX set up.

warhawkchevelle 01-05-2019 03:06 AM

Thank you!

Did a few other styles but I ended up liking this design the best, the angles are similar to the few others in the dash.

warhawkchevelle 01-05-2019 06:01 AM

https://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k...81254C9866.jpg

Black vinyl on those and a black speaker mesh to cover the speakers should make for a discrete installation

waynieZ 01-06-2019 08:42 PM

Nice.

WSSix 01-08-2019 04:16 PM

x2 very nicely done.

Ordered wheels today, Weld S71 18x9 and 18x12.
Tilt steering column and more small parts.

http://forumbilder.se/I46A9/fc3d2cff...de511290d.jpeg

Dash is painted.

I should be able to start wiring the car in a couple of weeks and start assembling interior.
Supercharger mount is final designed, we will 3D print a version at first to verify fitment before milling.

Dash is partly assembled, waiting for my metric RTX gaugecluster now.

Started to modified heaterbox so I can set the engine further back. Need more space for intercooler and chargepipes.

My buddy is gonna start 3D printing the supercharger mount this week so we can test it before milling.

I am leaving next weekend to go sledding with Polaris for a couple of days!

Printing has begun! Hopefully finished by next week so we can testfit everything before final product gets milled.

Ordered an Aeromotive fueltank and straps yesterday, Im getting hopeful that I can get the car running by this summer :whenitsdone:

Che70velle 01-30-2019 11:39 AM

Looking forward to it. Keep at it and you’ll be there in no time.

All the parts were printed and glued together for testing!

http://forumbilder.se/I4FVP/img-20190215-181822.jpg

Its a big unit :innocent:

http://forumbilder.se/I4FVP/img-20190216-180740.jpg

We need to raise it a couple of inches because the engine has been moved back 1" since we made the design.

http://forumbilder.se/I4FVP/blower2-0.jpg

the new 2.0 design is well on its way, we are gonna print those parts also for testing.

wireharness for my fueltech ft500 is being made by a buddy.
wheels, steering column, gastank and lots of small parts are being shipped from florida this week. should be here in beginning of april.

Installed dash and started wiring, the RTX gauge looks really nice!

Che70velle 02-23-2019 07:37 PM

Progress! What’s the weather over there Currently?

warhawkchevelle 02-23-2019 10:10 PM

Well, it has been a bit warm lately so the snow is melting away rapidly. I am hoping for a couple of months more of winter :)

Need to get more miles on the sled and more time to finish the car :thankyou:

A buddy is building the harness for the Fueltech FT500, should be done next weekend.

http://forumbilder.se/I4O9E/2e7df398...5f7cb20c2.jpeg

I like the kind of stock look of the engine :whenitsdone:

http://forumbilder.se/I4O9E/f0e73e6c...e14891ec7.jpeg

Had to pull the dash again to reach some wiring but now its there permanently

http://forumbilder.se/I4O9E/148ada06...0bb17c306.jpeg

Put it on blocks for a better work position on the wiring.

http://forumbilder.se/I4O9E/e77cf007...20563b73a.jpeg

New workplace for 4 months. Its a new heating plant, I have all the firesprinkler installation on site.

Nice work here guys....especially the CAD.......I'm just wondering why u need the guide roller on the long bracket at the top nearest the turbo?
Seems to me the tensioner will wrap the belt around turbo pulley better without that roller.

Just asking :y0!:
