Right now I’m working on the remaining front suspension getting all the parts prepped and painted before installing.

Doing rear brake lines, fuel lines and fuel cell in the next couple of weeks but still waiting on parts.

The idea is to get a running car as is and then worry about paint after.

syborg tt 01-23-2022 01:14 AM

I’m looking forward to more updates as this is such a cool build.

Doing some modifications to my lower control arms, been pushing this off for a wile but I really want her back on all four.

syborg tt 01-23-2022 04:21 PM

That looks like it was fun.

Are you re-enforcing the lower shock mount ?

Changed it from coil spring to coilover mount, also moved the mounting point closer to the ball joint and new brackets for the sway bar.

syborg tt 02-14-2022 05:22 PM

Looks really nice and I am looking forward to more updates.

Mikael A 03-26-2022 05:54 PM

Well the ups guy showed up so a little bit of plumbing, electrical being done and some other cool parts.
Lots more will happen now that spring is coming.

syborg tt 03-27-2022 07:43 AM

Holley 370amp Alternator.

Why you need so much juice as this kind of power is way above my head !!!!

It’s only 200 amps at idle and helps with any voltage drops since my battery is in the trunk.

Probably way overkill but i run them on everything I have and never had a problem.

Mikael A 03-27-2022 11:08 AM

Blast from the past, this was 15 years ago :confused59:

MtotheIKEo 03-31-2022 09:16 PM

Really clean looking setup. Any concerns with the hardline between the catch can and valve covers as the motor moves around?

I’m actually working on a bracket right now that mounts to the back of the head and holds the catch can in place.

Mikael A 04-02-2022 12:25 PM

This is the bracket that holds the catch can,I will probably have this done in black when i get the ict brackets done.

camcojb 04-02-2022 05:14 PM

Nice work!

Mikael A 04-03-2022 03:24 PM

So i was not happy with the big bend before the valve cover,I ordered a 90 degree fitting instead and ended up redoing the whole thing.
Also my new fuel tank showed up and cant be happier with RCI,fully custom size, baffles, efi ready, sending unit and they made me a filler neck.

syborg tt 04-04-2022 08:10 AM

So I have been struggling trying to figure out how I was going to mount my Norris Catch can and the way you did it never even crossed my mind. You sir are my hero and I can't wait to get home and look at my motor and see what I can create.

Ha ha I’m far from a hero but thank you:D

Mikael A 05-15-2022 02:37 PM

So finally i got my II much vent and I installed my fuel pump so now i can get my fuel system done and trunk painted,

steering linkage and clutch done finally.

column and pedals painted and installed, love the modo pedal covers.

Much more little stuff but I keep plugging away at it little by little.

Mikael A 05-30-2022 04:40 PM

Alright the ups guy showed up again so. I have been very busy:ups:

super charger is installed but hit a few bumps on the spacing and ls water pump types :confused59:but it’s all good now thanks to summit, soooo if anyone needs a brand new ls3 water pump hit me up.

Nose is back on for fitting the intercooler and piping and she is starting to look like a car again.

Lower valence have seen better days looks like something ran it over but nothing that can be fixed :flag2:

camcojb 05-30-2022 05:15 PM

Nice work!!

Mikael A 07-17-2022 12:39 PM

Small update, got most of tubing done, mounted up intercooler and the fans.
Had to move power steering can to make room for radiator hose and change up fuel lines a little.

Spiffav8 07-17-2022 05:22 PM

That's awesome!! Everything fits insanely tight. Had to take a lot of planning to make that happen. Keep at it man!!

Yes its very tight and it did take alot of planing and laying things out to get it just right.
Going to get a friend of mine to weld up the tubing so its nice and professional looking but other then that it's moving forward 🙂

Goosesdad 07-18-2022 05:56 PM
