The guys didn't waste any time digging into this build!
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1spvw3jy.jpg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...sp5reyyef.jpeg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...smoldccxe.jpeg Take a look at this sweet custom hood they are building! The head body guy, Garret Holler is taking charge and is creating a custom bulge at the front of the hood to clear the HI-Ram intake. http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...spkc1jqwx.jpeg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...sshzl2osb.jpeg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...snnoim39p.jpeg |

Intake Idea
I know you're already deep into hood mods but there are other intakes available that would clear...

The guys worked non-stop everyday to get these gaps PERFECT for SEMA!

Looking really good! keep these updates coming

The guys all went crazy modifying the AUTO-RAD radiator close-out panel! There is no way that anyone could ever tell that it was modified.
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...psgsmt9ijg.jpg This picture shows the custom bracing made to clear the Holley- HI-Ram intake.. The cowl was also cut and sliced up in the front, to clear the intake. http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...pst0yobft1.jpg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...psxfwa2rqd.jpg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...psqwcvxbie.jpg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/...psrj1b53rh.jpg |
We have been having a VERY hard time dealing with trying to pick a color. The rendering was made on whatever Matt thought looked good, not a paint code. We have loved the color on the rendering.. all the way up until we got a few spray-outs. It just didn't POP like we wanted. We took four guys from the shop and went out color searching at different car dealerships. The color we decided on was not at ANY of the dealers.. Its surprising and wayy different than the rendering was done up like. Change of plans!

The red would pop on the new 2018 Grand Sport ceramic matrix gray as well.

It's difficult to find the right color for a 67/68, unless it's black. There are not enough body lines to cast shadows for contrast. Funny that you have a new challenger in the pic it's similar in some ways, tall door panels with little style lines to break it up. The color in your rendering is awesome, arguably the second best color for the 67/68. It's that color that is hard to describe, is it green? blue? silver? flips in different light, specially with the contrasting hockey stick and red rims. I would say dig deeper and find that color. But then again you didn't ask |
The front and rear flush mounted windows were fitted and some modifications were made to make the windows fit better around the gaps, along with shaving the drip rails and smoothing some things over on this beast. This is going to be Soo nice when it is completed.

The new color has been decided! This car will POP when it is completed. The blue is a huge change.. But we decided that for our first build, It has to be bright!

The frame has been painted! The body men went to work on smoothing out all the welds, pits and imperfections they could find (There wasn't many as the frames are awesome from Roadster Shop)

Paint
excellent work guys, might have missed it, but where did you pull that blue from ?
Cant wait to see her done Steve |
That's a fantastic blue! Good luck getting it ready for SEMA, guys.

Hi, The blue is a World Rally Blue pulled from a 1995 2.5rs with some custom touches in the clear. |
All Painted! Sorry, These are not the best pics, but its all I could get from the body guys!

Paint looks slick and wet...just like I like it with lots of clear. Can't wait to see it all finished and buttoned up.

She sure looks sweet with the engine sitting in her! The @procharger D-1x setup, combined with the true carbon fiber valve covers, ultimate headers, 4L80E transmission and the Holley HI-Ram intake look sweet mounted on the frame!
