Headed down to Kenny's Shop this weekend. Meet up with Kenny, Travis and Kenny Sr. to look at the progress and talk about everybody's goals for the car. Good thing we all agreed on the future of this project. Build or Bust Baby.

The Guy's worked the inner/inner fenders to fill the void looking through the grille.

This is the panel at the back of the wheel well.

http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/..._10_13_025.jpg

A closer look at the panel. You can also see the panel that is going to close the void by the steering column

Once we were done looking at all the progress up on the lift. We took it off the lift so we could get a good look at the stance.

When we got home on Saturday. Kenny called me to tell me that he and already cut the exhaust off and re-routed it above the axle and out the side. These guy's are cranking.

Did I mention that my Dad couldn't have been happier with the progress of the car and the group of guy's working on it. He even said he was thinking about flying down there every weekend just to hang out.

formula98 10-15-2006 08:38 PM

Looks like it will be another car of yours(well your Dad's) for me to N-V. Nice score. I almost bought a 57 a few weeks back but missed out.

kennyd 10-17-2006 02:07 PM

i am real lucky to have coustomers like marty " mo " ( inside joke )and marty sr . these guys are real car people . it helps as a builder to have these type of owners that will let you add ideas to the project and spend the cash when the car need a quality part . as we discussed the car the with marty1 and 2 we all seem to be headed in the same direction with what we want the car to be .
i can say this next year at indy we will be there in force ! the 57 ,the 41 , the 33 ,and the syborg s-10.

I thought you where always "in force" at Indy.Hell your drivers are better than most of the cars at Indy,Columbus or Kansas.

Travis can get the parking spots, while waiting for you and cooler to show up in 33,travis should have no problem being 1st with willys,I just hope he can drive it,you may need to send to KC for a horsepower driving lesson.

Any updates?

syborg tt 10-27-2006 02:45 PM

Last weeks update - forgot to post the pics

Kenny decided it would be easier to fix the panhard bar by relocating it to a better location. It would make running the exhaust a little easier

http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/...10_15_57_0.jpg

mount on the rear end

http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/...10_15_57_1.jpg

syborg tt 10-27-2006 02:46 PM

Kenny Re-Routed the exhaust up and over the rear end instead of under the rear diff (this is how it was routed when we purchased the car)

You need to tell Kenny to pull the exhaust pipe off the tire,or it really will burn rubber.

Looks great, they do some great work done there.

Looks sweet,Kenny and the gang are out doing themselves.is that engine cover functional in someway.I like the new hood nice and clean without the bullets on it.

What color is it going to be,what style are you going with, that will help name it.

The paint is going to be a simple one Color something like a deep burgandy or ruby red. Carter is working on some renderings for us. Can't wait to see what he comes up with.

syborg tt 12-18-2006 07:25 AM

Quick Update.

looks like a bumper end with out any chrome

http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/...12_17_57_1.jpg

wait it was a bumper end - now it's attached to the center section.

http://www.sportmachines.com/albums/...12_17_57_2.jpg

were going for the smooth and clean look on the front end and i think we've nailed it.

we have about 30hrs in the front bumper alone . we removed about 1.25 in from the width of the front bumper and made it 1 piece and removed the " bullets " and the recesses under the bulletts . then we metal finished the bar because it will be chrome so it had to perfectly straight . then we lazer cut some new bumper mount that are smooth and weld to the rear of the bar .
now we do the same on the rear bumper ,it not going to be as easy as the front .
then it ready for paint
