Than you for the information. The car looks outstanding

Ben@SpeedTech 05-11-2018 08:25 AM

Here's a look at the bottom side of that cool custom air intake, a trick air filter box that's fed from underneath away from engine heat. Also seen is the remote oil filter location, part of the set up with our road race and dry sump LS oil pans. Next up is a custom air dam and splitter that will help guide air to the filters and provide the necessary down force at higher speeds.

Very nice work. In the driver side of the transmission lower drain hole is that a temperature sensor?

Tinker 05-11-2018 10:25 AM

That oil filter sure looks low. Maybe it's just camera angle, but I assume the air dam and splitter will be protecting it?

syborg tt 05-11-2018 11:49 AM

Ben I am removing you from my Friend list as this car has given me way to many idea's

Car is awesome and it looks like camera angle as the filer looks to be above the bottom of the frame.

the filter is about 3" above the bottom of the frame and when the splitter is on only the nut shows so you can get the filter off with out removing the splitter

I had to ask. I assumed it was all good, I haven't ever seen anything half-a$$ed come out of your shop.
Car is looking fantastic!

Here's some more pics to show what we've got going on...

The radiator support is in line behind the valance grills, airflow will go up through the radiator and down underneath to the air filters.

The air filters are in front of the sway bar and will be sealed off, guiding the air flow and keeping debris and such from the tires getting up in there.

The splitter will create down force at speed, seal the air box on the bottom side and help direct airflow under the car.

The interior's that coming together while the air dam is being fabricated. The back seat is kinda useless with the cage in the way so we made it a little more useful with the speakers taking up the back portion and functional storage compartments on both bottom sides.

Wrapping up the trunk (no pun intended) custom leather covered and magnetically attached .090 aluminum finish panels really enhance the sleek look. One hides the battery and one the amps. Don't forget the go-go juice mounts too!

Here's a couple pics of the hand made splitter. The flat bottom carbon fiber is a piece we bought, while and .090 sheet aluminum fabbed up makes the air dam. Inner walls direct air flow and keep debris from the front tires entering.Once it was all done we painted it to match the car.

Are you sure you don't want to make a couple more of those spoilers? It looks great.

Yep pretty sure we don't want to

Build-It-Break-it 06-06-2018 11:37 AM

Where'd you guys get the carbon fiber for the splitter from Blake?

some on line splitters.com or something like that they had a few different shapes

Ben@SpeedTech 06-15-2018 11:59 AM

Well the Camaro's all buttoned up and now we're in the programming and tuning and test driving stage. Quick teaser pic, when it's ready to be delivered to Karl I'll take it out for a photo shoot.

The car looks great. I really like the front splitter. Now I have some idea on how to fabricate a front splitter without it looking like a snow plow hanging on the front!

Outstanding. I saw this car at LS fest and loved everything about it. Just beautiful.

Thanks it turned out nicley
it is AWESOME to drive, i might be slightly bias, but everytime i s drive one of these cars with the Extreme suspension it amazes me how well they cruise. forget the track and auto X stuff just driving on the freeway with 315 front tires and 1 finger on the wheel!! and smooth this car right now has 450 front and 275 rear springs (street Setup) but a 1.30 dia front bar (for later open road course setup) and it is just nice to drive. the customer drove it the other day and had a HUGE Smile the whole time.

IT'S WAY BETTER IN PERSON!!!

WOW!!

This is Ring Bros quality build with all the details. Takes a bit to impress me. I kept walking back to this car to have another look around.

Goosesdad 06-19-2018 10:17 AM

Thanks everyone!

It's done!!! Karl's car is wrapped up and I took a few pics out back before we send it off to him. I have the photo gallery for this car updated on our website so rather than post a whole bunch of pics here simply click the link for the gallery. Go there and take a look, and then feel free to comment your thoughts about the car here. Enjoy and thanks for watching!

Man does that look great and I love the stripe on the hood.

Ben@SpeedTech 06-28-2018 08:20 AM

Thanks Marty! As the guy that does the renderings and design stuff it can be a bit of a challenge to make "another" 69 Camaro stand out, and that makes it all fun. Unique is a good thing and everything about this car is unique- design, engineering, power plant, construction... Overall everyone did a great job on it and it's been awesome and a pleasure to see Karl's dream car come to life!

71-Formula 06-30-2018 02:57 PM
