ill say 146.6
but this is kind of an ambiguous question... the average speed of the entire history of the daytona 500 is way different from say the average speed of the winning driver from the last daytona 500. |

hey Scott, where is your guess? No way we can conspire on this one unless you have fixed the race.

160.3, obviously I don't think we're eligible =)
|
unofficially 149.333 mph ...congrats to the winner!:lateral:

was that green flag average speed or, overall race speed? because, the 150 i saw was green flag average speed and i was under the assumption that we were doing total race ave. speed, which would include caution laps.
|
Eric, it's average speed. Distance divided by time (from green to checkers).
Here's the official run down for the '07 Daytona 500: Track Length: 2.5 miles Laps: 200 Average Speed: 149.335 m.p.h. Time of Race: 3 hour, 22 minutes, 54 seconds Margin of Victory: 0.020 seconds Caution Flags: 6 for 24 laps Lead Changes: 13 among 9 drivers |
That would mean rodder1968 is the $100 winner, 67sschevelle is the $50 winner, and andrew mcbride is the $25 winner. Congrats. PM me you info so I can have your information for you credit here. Please call when you guys want to place you order. I won't have your credit setup in our online store.
