Thought I'd bring this back to the top...nothing has really changed with the car for the past year, well except the oil! It's been super reliable and fun to drive.

We spent this past weekend at the Great Lakes Musclecar Challenge at Pitt Race. It was two days of autocross, three different course layouts and we each got over 30 runs. This was the most time I've spent in the car and learned alot on how to drive it and what needs to be changed. But as is, its a blast to drive.

Pretty cool side shot from last weekend.

Earlier this year, I rec'd a call from Dave, the gentleman that built our car back in the earlier 70's. He asked if we'd be interested in an invite only car show. Well, not being much of the show type of people, we weren't overly excited but said yes. The show is the Eyes on Design, http://www.eyesondesign.org/#design-exhibition

A few weeks later, one of the organizers called and was specifically looking for a period custom. A '66 coupe to boot. After telling him on the phone what we had, he was pretty excited that we were bringing it. His personal '66 Nassau Blue coupe would be parked next to ours. The theme was Stock to Rock... I'll let you decided which car was which :mock:

It was a beautiful (but hot!) day. We left the house just after 5am to get the the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House by 7. What an amazing place, 87 acres on Lk St. Clair. Definately have to go back for the full tour.

We were super done by the end of the day, and totally reminded why we aren't car show people! I'd rather be driving them!

Anyway, here's a few pics. If you have FB here is a link to a bunch of photos I took. PICS

Here are a few of the G-Vette and a bone stock '66. They are way different!

66 Stingray

I am also not a real fan of the car shows any more
but I did go over to the Vintage mustang show after
taking my car over the hill to the coast last Sunday
I actually spent about 4 hours there but as we all know
it is the people that makes the car thing great.. caught
up with a bunch of guys I had not seen in a while

Good stuff.. love your guys cars and love the fact that
you are running them

Bob

We'd love to see some more shots of this tearing up the auto X because it looks really sweet! You don't often see those body styles out at the track.

Don't get me wrong, I like a good show. For 2 maybe 3 hours, all day, not thanks!

I agree Bob, the people are great. Even car show people, we all have a common interest.
Thanks!
