The car needed paint. Eight footer kinda thing. I was going to wait, but...projects snowball. Oddly I told myself I would never take one down to bare metal, but as you stated, it's the only way to know for sure. Jeff, Jim, Jody, Greg Weld, Seig, Steve Rupp and a few others where here at the house during SEMA 2014 and they all looked over the car. All experts on these cars and none of them saw any signs. Well other than what looked like a few paint bubbles on the roof. I think I would have been more surprised if it didn't need at least one panel.

I'm guessing a magnet may be one of the best detectives.

This is true. I would have thought Jim and his maneuver with the paint scraper on the roof would have found it. That still haunts me. :faint:

I haven't taken one to my car, I can't afford too. Nor do I want to know as I think it will survive my lifetime. LOL

If it gets hit the 26 year old lacquer paint job and body work could cause problems depending on the line the insurance company takes. :sieg:

Better read the GPR thread on the Dynacorn mustang body --- only 600 hours to get it ready to paint... Just FYI if you think they're buy one, and paint it...

I still think buying a complete driving car is the way to go...even if it needs some panel replacement. All the parts you can take off and sell to fund other parts. Also, all the needed little parts and pieces and hardware really add up! I bought a roller and was shocked at how many parts it was missing.
