Everyone else's Ridetech cap looks more flush than mine did when I mocked it up last Christmas. It looks like it fills the factory recess nicely and ends up pretty flush. Perhaps I just need to bite the bullet, drill and cinch it down to get the full effect?
I put a torch on my seams after i blasted it to try and cook some of the 40 year old gunk that had accumulated. Know anyone with a powder coating oven? You could cook it several times.

I found that gas cap a pain to install because of the filler neck o-ring. Makes for a tight fit but as intended to do.

Thanks. Real easy to apply. Just mix the catalyst, set the pressure at 60psi and spray.

Bodywork has started. All panels have been aligned, metal added/removed, etc. Filler work and blocking now in progress.

I'm so ready to get behind the seat of this thing. The Power Tour ends in Baton Rouge next year, so I'm trying to get it finished to make the Hoover, AL to Baton Rouge portion of the tour. Supposed to have it back from paint around mid February.
