While it's not quite what I expected it's a perfect engine for what we do. The torque curve is beautiful. I'm betting you'll be happier with the results in the car than you were when you walked out of the engine shop. We put a 110 LSA in mine and it's not quite as happy say between 1200-1600 slowing down in gear. It bucks some now where it didn't before. I can still pull any gear from 1600 up with no problem. I'd leave it and enjoy.

I will make similar power.. maybe a bit more due to the better Mast heads, but it will have a higher quality rotating assembley and a few other widgets that I prefer. No power adders.. all NA.. simple, reliable, and lightweight. |

Awesome numbers Steve, will this motor be for sale when you swap in the 460?
I'm running a 112 LSA on my 346 and don't find the street manners all that bad. With 454 cubes it would have been no problem. But I understand you are going for more torque down low. So do I get a prize for guessing the exact power level? :unibrow: |
Great Numbers Steve!
a 114? I am running a 110 in a stock cube LS1. Looks like you got just what you wanted.
Looking forward to driving impressions. |

I just figured the extra power would only be good for bragging rights.. this way I get the power I think the car can handle and excellent street manners. The nice part is that if the car can hook this then more power is just a cam swap away. |
Looking good! Cant wait to see Penny this summer Steve.
