Thanks again for the help Jason. Also, thanks for the sweet pics! Very cool!

I don't think next Tuesday will happen given scheduling but I will be back as soon as I can.

Chad from what I've seen your 44.xx is a very good time for first time out there in the new setup. Atta boy.

Car looks and sounds great. Just beat on her til there's no oil pressure I say. :sieg:

Your car is working great and it looks like you are doing a damn good job behind the wheel.

I know we spoke today--but this is a great moment and I had to say it again.

Way to persevere and stay in it to win it. Very happy for you bro!

I will plan to Adam's with you in the next couple of months for sure.

Thanks Todd. It felt good to beat my old time by so much and I was seeing consistent improvement in each timed session (did 5 sessions before part failure) so I think there is a lot more left in the car on this particular track. I hope so anyways.

Thanks Doug. I look forward to do some events together again and hanging out.

It sounds great on the puter.. :)

And the 377 and I are no longer on speaking terms. And that was my fault.

We gotta get back to Willow and destroy our previous times.

Continuing my recap of last night at Adams...

The track at Adams is so tight that my data overlay is hard to read but here is another illustration of one of my 44 second laps. Each yellow bar represents G's greater than 0.75 and less than 1.0. Each red bar represents G's greater than 1.0.

Unfortunately my night was cut short. A bolt came lose on one of the pinion down bars which caused the other hiem joint to snap. I was able to make it home by reconnecting the first pinion down bar. I had virtually no tools or equipment at the track so it was through the generosity of fellow car guys that I got the car drivable and drove it home. Special thanks to Don with the 38 Ford hotrod and Jason from TCI who helped me get it back together. Don even offered to trailer me home which wasn't a short distance if I couldn't get the car drivable again. Way very cool.

What a fantastic thing to do!!

Car and driver look awesome. Sorry to hear about the MAST motor. I won't be ordering anything from them for my projects after learning of your treatment. I was offered their motors in another project I'm planning and now - that will just be a Hell NO!

slow4dr 07-17-2014 09:34 AM

That was a very generous offer from Don. Especially since he lives 30 miles in the opposite direction. He's a pretty cool old goat.

Chad,
What radiator and headers are you running?
