These cars are now nearly a half century old. Definitely could be much worse like Mario's crusher.

I'll take the eight footer full of bondo so I can beat the living crap out of it.

I still think buying a complete driving car is the way to go...even if it needs some panel replacement. All the parts you can take off and sell to fund other parts. Also, all the needed little parts and pieces and hardware really add up! I bought a roller and was shocked at how many parts it was missing.

Curtis, as you know it's in very good hands! Don't be shy with posting pics! T

I couldn't agree more. With all the parts I was able to sell, I recouped a nice chunk of change to put back into the car. So far, it's worked out well.

I hope to have a few more pictures next week.

Yeah... 8 footers suck!

Mine hand more than a few spots that looked like toothpaste had been used as touch up paint. Some pretty high up the car to. It wasn't horrid, but it wouldn't take long for it to get there.

Yeah not bad for it's age. I agree that there's a lot to be said about the Eight Footer and the way you treat them. I can't tell you how tempting Flat Black is for that very reason.

I certainly understand they are not paint-ready, but they are rust-free. I had to do all of what is shown on that GPR Mustang, and more, on my '69 build. I guarantee I've got far more into this rolling chassis than a Dynacorn would have set me back, because I still had to purchase the car first. Most of which, was not re-used at all. https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=51144

Thinking "rust free" doesn't exist any longer, unless you buy a car that was properly restored in the first place.

You're doing it right the 1st time. You'll be much happier with no worries

A set back, but it will be sweet when your done! I hope it's smooth sailing from now on.

The car has entered my favorite part of a build and is moving forward. I really dig seeing the progress.

Jim repaired the lower rather than replace it.

I like a "smooth" tail pan, so the seams where welded and filled. I hope this will give the car a cleaner look/vibe.

Getting there. Yes, I shaved the trunk lock.

Yeah we had Russ do those here in Vegas. He also installed the rear clip for me. He's good people.
