When this car grows up it will be a really nice all around machine. Despite it being a Camaro. :unibrow:

Ron in SoCal 09-25-2012 10:17 PM

Stielow's not on line tonight, so no grown ups here :yep:

I went back to page 78 - couldnt find the pics.

Do the GMPP Camaro valve covers come with the bolt holes in them that you used for the Katech coils?

I was looking at those covers for my C6, move the coils, and get rid of the FRC's.

Thanks,
Craig

I'm guessing you're using the Vaporworx tank with the regulator in the tank and no return line necessary? That sure makes it simple at the engine. Clean setup as usual for you guys. Great work. I'm jealous. I'm planning out my new setup at the engine and a flow-through design with a regulator at the engine and return line is double the trouble(and cost for extra fittings, hose, etc).

Don't you just love how those simple little Aeromotive ORB fittings at the end of the rails are $20 a pop? Must be something in that little rubber ring we don't know about.

Thanks for the lesson Brett.  I love it Ron...looking good!!

Hey Craig - good on you for trying! I woulda gave up long before that :D The valve covers need to be drilled and tapped. FRCs are for the die hard Vette crowd... (kidding fellas!)

Hey buddy, yes in tank CTSV set up w no return line. It gets pretty crowded underhood no matter what you do. Much respect to the guys that hide everything!

Hated buying those FR fittings! The Y was $50 IIRC. I of course bought more than I needed and have a few left over.

My son has gotten so big Ron and is crawling now and into everything. He's almost 9 months. The car...well, is coming along slowly. As soon as I have an update worth something I will definately post it. Thanks for asking. Yours is coming along so sweet! :hail: :hail:

Yeah I know. Would love to drive it out to SEMA, but we're in that unintentional quiet period of wiring, plumbing, etc. Updates coming soon!

I'm sure Brett has made some progress lets see it. :D

Just read most of this... just over 1hr ...

Ran first sorry about the truck fire but things seems to be morphing into amazing... talk about turning a bad situation around...

few questions...
what accessory kit is that? I am using the same Subframe and neeed to move the alternator up .
What are the specs on the front wheel and tire? Backspace and tire size.
the wheels that came with the car originally are those ccw or forumla43 by any chance?

:hail:

Yes he has. Front of engine bay is pretty much done, but Brett needed to get the sheetmetal back on to reference where coolers, oil can will go. With that he also gapped the car and got it as good if not better then before. I had changed subfr bushings when the car came back from Indy, so that was not without challenges. I thinik it came out great...

Also busy sourcing little stuff. V-Band clamps, fittings like the one Greg mentioned below.

Thx for the props! I'm running the Wegner kit. Didn't you order your sub from Jake? I'm running Art's. My front wheels are 18x10 w 6.9 BS; I was kinda surprised yours was specced to 8" BS, but certainly Jake knows his stuff. The tire is a Nitto NT05 285/35. Looks like it'll clear everywhere except the outter fender lip. I'm pretty sure more fender rolling is in order. Original wheels were HREs.

It's good that you're paying attention grasshopper. It's not an official PT car unless you change wheels at least once ...

SEMA? Will any vendors commit to taking Ron's car? He changes parts so frequently. Still, he cant be as bad as that guy who started taking his car apart, and had his whole dash out when he got a call telling him to move in
