The raptor looks killer you said you reduced the u pol raptor 15% what did you use to reduce it with?

That was funny Skip!

Awesome pics at Camarillo. Car looks great Ron!

Thanks Ryan!

The car sounds awesome in the video!
What did you end up doing on the fuel vent? I broke down and bought a II Much as I can't see any other good way to vent these cars. Looks like I'm going to do the same on the rear end. Packaging is tight so I'm trying to find a rollover check valve that will work with the vent mounted in the DSE crossmember. I found a jaz 6 an inline valve that I thought would work but it's upside down. I need opposite male female. |

Car is a kick in the pants. Little more rear grip and little more brake and I think it'll do fine. Course, the wingnut still has a long was to go :) Fuel vent has a temp fix via a rerouted line. I need to get it on the lift and bend up some tube which I hope will be permanent. If I didn't mention before, my II Much vent is mounted in near the tail panel which is not correct. Your way Ryan on the crossmember / highest point is best. |
Finch dual vent system works great. Route one line to the tank and another to the diff. I put my box on the dse quadralink trunk brace

Your video got my blood pumping. You have a lot more horsepower than I do. You must be smoother on the throttle :) and definitely a better driver. I'm also running Michelin PS's and am hoping to mount up something better suited for the track next year. I need all the help I can get to stay close to the cones and keep the car pointed the right direction!
I ran some temp vents for fuel and diff in order to pass tech so it's time to do something permanent. The II Much vent is nice quality I just need to find a roll-over check valve that will work. I'm trying to keep everything up high and avoid creating a "p" trap in the vent line. Maybe I'm overthinking it. Randy, I didn't even know those were out there. Does the Finch vent to the outside like the II Much does? |
Yes. It's a darn nice box.
Run a line to the tank to the diff to the box using -6 an fittings, a line from the diff to the box using the same -6 an fittings. If memory serves me correct I used the following..... 4 -6an female to hose fittings on each end of the hose, 2 hoses about 14" long, 1/4" npt male to -6 female for the tank and 1/8" npt male to -6 female. 2 fittings for the box that are 1/4" npt male to -6 male Www.finchperformance.com |
Thanks Randy. I'm going to look into the Finch option some more. Rollover check valve and outside vent are my requirements.
Sorry Ron. Didn't mean to hijack your thread. I appreciate the info from you both. |
