First auto I ever shot was the MP5-SD.......what a let down.....very quiet, low recoil and minimal muzzle climb. I was expecting a real man-gun and got a passive ***** cat. :D

That said, excellent CQ weapon. Wish I could afford one for a house gun but the prices for a decent one are off the charts.

So not trying to stir the puddin or anything but, Brent, given all that you do have planned in way of modifying existing suspension and subframe components, why not just build a full frame? I would think that would give you the most freedom to really design around all the obstacles presented. I bet it would also be faster, cheaper, and maybe even easier. Just wondering. I really like the direction you guys are headed with this car. Good luck!

Vince is exactly right when you analyze that at this point in time. It is easy to look at that in hindsight but I started this new phase 16 months ago (it hurts to type that) when a local guy PM'ed me asking if I was interested in his Jake's sub and torq arm. I'd already been talking to Jake and was leaning toward his setup, so it all took off from there and the snowballing began.

As much as I love Payton's car on Jake's full frame, I really am enjoying the "struggle" to maintain a street/race car balance (how I envision it) and I understand that that is totally in the eye of the beholder as many would label this a race car. I like that challenge am honestly looking forward to an "unstreetable" street car. :)

BUT... I am tired of not driving my car and watching all these guys have a blast at various events. I wanna join in the fun and compete and that is the real driving force at this point. My car has been down for about as long as I got to drive it from late 2010 to early 2012 and that just sucks.

I'll be meeting with Brett on Sunday while I am down in Socal for a wedding and we will be taking a look at various ride heights and the work involved. After some hard self analysis lately I hope I can be comfortable (aesthetically) with a ride height that will require minimal hard core fab like Renner's had to go through. And Brett has plenty of other fab work on my punchlist to do anyway (dry sump container, fuel cell structure, cage work, etc).

But if I knew what I knew now, and after seeing Payton's car, if I had to do it over I just might choose the full frame route.... Oh well, onward and upward.... no time to look too far in the past. :thumbsup:
