What radiator and headers are you running?

Hi Jr.

I'm running the AFCO LS1 radiator with a Mark VIII fan.

Headers are Headman Heder PN 45106. The fit on these are pretty much perfect with the TCI subframe. The big downside is the "race" style collector which slip fits over the individual tubes rather than being welded so they are noisy. I am considering swapping them.

Also, I've been out of town for the past 3 weeks. 2 weeks of vacation vagabond style on motorcycles and 1 week for work.

But exciting thing that I haven't been able to think about much for 3 weeks is:

Please accept this as your formal invitation to the seventh annual Super Chevy Suspension & Handling Challenge on August 25 and 26. This year’s event will once again be held at The Streets of Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, California. Our event consists of three track-type tests (slalom, skidpad and autocross) and an on-the-road evaluation for comfort and roadability.
Should be interesting! Its coming down to the wire on finding 200tw tires since I have the R888's right now.

Sounds good.

Which header will you try next?

No idea and it is not a very high priority item so unless I find out it is messing with my O2 sensors it will be a long time from now.

Here are a couple of fun teaser pics from a trip out to Streets of Willow Springs earlier this week for the Super Chevy Handling Challenge.

I like the middle pic with both Streets and Big Willow in the background :)

Thank you! Still more wrenching to do but hoping to get that ratio as close to 100% driving and 0% wrenching as I can :)

Yeah, well sadly you have to wait until the January issue of the Super Chevy magazine.

I've been comparing my own data to the last time I was at SOWS and except for two high speed turns that are more of a car comfort / balls thing the car went around a lot faster with a lot higher G's than the last time I was there. Turn 1 and turn 10 which are both at the end of a high speed section, neither myself or Marry P. came close to the speeds I was carrying back in 2011. Seems I was either fearless or maybe a few hundred laps on the old setup gave me a high level of confidence on the high speed stuff :p

I'm sorry you missed it too Ron. IMO you didn't miss anything Monday. Monday was the slalom and skid pad and running the cars through those for the magazine was pretty boring as a spectator. Tuesday was a lot of fun though. Much more fun as a spectator to see these cars out on the course. Also, more fun to be able to take your own car out there.

It was fun to compare my track data against Marry Pozzi's driving too.

The first time I got to hear my own car come down the straight redlining second gear I about jizzed my pants!!! lol. I didn't have the coolest engine their and there were folks making more power, but damn did my car sound good coming down the straight!!
