It was tough.. I detail it in part one of the engine install story (feb issue).

Had to make a custom line for the steering rack since it didn't let the alt sit all the way back. Then I had to shorten the stud on the back of the alternator by 1/4 inch. It's a pretty tight fit but looks great now and very "tucked away".

I saw that post but was wondering if you had it with the alternator installed also or did I miss something in the photo? What is the plastic cup with the hose next to the proportioning valve. Is it a reservoir of some sort? :) Is the belt tensioner Katech also? What happen to the Fuel pressure gauge you had on the fuel rail?

God, the engine is art! Steve you are only allowed to tune it. No Driving it! You'll ruin it! :lol: I put your engine as my desktop for inspiration!

Dang, that looks pretty damn good. You know what, that blue car looked really good too, even though this one was supposed to be more streetfighter (and it isn't lol ) it looks really nice also, just give in to the bling, you know you want too you seem to be good at coordinating a nice underhood. Where did those fender bolts come from, those are a nice touch. ALso what are you going to do for the air intake?

I think a big rectanlgle scoop in the lower valance(similar to the brake ducts you had, but one big one in the middle) would be a good intake, then have the pipe come straight up from underneath between the waterpump and radiator, and then have a 90 degree elbow off the TB going straight down. Not sure if it could be done without hindering ground clearance, but then you wouldn't have that ugly pipe going across the engine bay. The setup would be simliar to a Grand National sorta

See, you see street fighter as being almost rat rod.. I just see it as being purpose driven. Low on the luxuries and function over form. I just don't think it needs to look ratty to have a purpose :)

Oh, and my chrome bill is ZERO and my polish bill is.. well.. $5.. lol

The bolts came form www.hillcofasteners.com them make them in a variety of colors and sizes. I haven't figured out the intake yet. I want something simple. Was most likely just gonna make a tube to go into the drivers side front fender area and then have the tube and elbow coated in the titanium stuff like the header.. low bling :) -- I like your idea and I will look at doing that. I don't mind the intake (like the coil packs) since it's part of the deal.. I just want to make sure it's as low gloss as possible.

I have a 3000lb (i hope) 500+ hp car with no heat, no ac, no radio, no wipers and not even a key to start it running on R-compound tires.. to me that's streetfighter'esk.. lol

I just can't seem to build a "rough" looking car.. guess I'm too picky. Thanks for the comments though :)

That's the resevoir for the clutch, I put a spun aluminum cover on it.. Yep, Katech tensioner and I am still fabbing the fitting for the fuel pressure guage. The car alread has one back by the tank and one on the interior.. would be nice to have one in the bay as well.

Nah.. driving the car won't hurt the engine bay and the quarter panels are XPEL'd to protect from rocks.. lol

Looks like it would be kind of tricky with the fan, radiator hose and sway bar in the way.

I love the way you used the billet caps. Very Cool!
