Finally and I mean finally I get to figure out where & how I am going to install the new Holley Terminator X.

The "X" is the newest box and it is significantly smaller then the last model.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...76af326-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...78fc535-me.jpg

After look

So I have been trying to figure out where the harness is going to exit & this is one possible location.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3263b5c-me.jpg

The plan to would be to tuck the wire behind the vintage Air unit hang them with adell clamps.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...be8063d-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...6051590-me.jpg

Mounting Bracket Idea.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...6051590-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...a00c03e-me.jpg

syborg tt 07-03-2019 11:01 AM

I had Dennis at High Speed Welding make me the bracket for the Holley ECI.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...b6d6a9c-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...af4eba1-me.jpg

Not sure if Kenny made this bracket or Vintage air supplied. Either way I am drilling a hole in it.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9e578d0-me.jpg

Quick trip to Ace Hardware for the necessary hardware and yes I will be using nylock nuts on the bracket as I would have to pull the dash to get to it if it came loose.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ff7940d-me.jpg

Mounted on the Vintage Air Bracket

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3ed7186-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...229558e-me.jpg

Started plugging things in and it appears we are good to go.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...94b5db4-me.jpg

And of course I need to get more of these to anchor the Holley Harness

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ccdd140-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9508268-me.jpg

On a side not I plan to install the lower dash dash to make sure it is hidden.

syborg tt 07-03-2019 11:31 AM

Finally Caught up

I want to keep the engine bay as original looking as possible so I am not trying to hide the wire. I need to order a new firewall wire gutter so I can route the body harness back to the factory location.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0fd9e0b-me.jpg

Now that I have determined the power leads for the ECU are going to exit the passenger side cowl and head directly to the battery I am going to have to remove the inner fender.

Time to take out the battery

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...79061cf-me.jpg

and here is the billet Battery Tray we made for 2nd Gen Camaro's. I think I have a few left if anyone is interested and has no desire to put there battery in the trunk.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...70310ef-me.jpg

Good thing my inner fenders are carbon as I am certain this little bit of metal shaving would have caused them to start rusting.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...1538543-me.jpg

Getting ready to remove the Carbon Inner Fenders. Nervous...Yep

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...8dae4e1-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...7657e05-me.jpg

So do you guys think I should consider line-x the inner fender to add a little more protection from flying debris ?

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...d4978fc-me.jpg

Holy crap getting the headlight buckets out was a bitch and then getting to the fender hardware sucked even more.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...23695b8-me.jpg

Finally the last three bolts are out and the lower valance is hanging low enough to get the inner fender out...I hope.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ce7ac1d-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9e595b7-me.jpg

It's out and will need a safe home so I may consider bringing these to my warehouse and hiding it on a rack somewhere.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...48481b6-me.jpg

Finally easy access to the cowl.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4202a89-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...c7eb572-me.jpg

syborg tt 07-03-2019 11:31 AM

I decided that I am going to have the carriage bolts powder coated black or do you guys think I should leave them chrome.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...b89eac6-me.jpg

Not sure why I take pictures of the tools that I use but I do.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...b89eac6-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...7b0caaa-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...be1c8cc-me.jpg

So I need to order some parts and of course I created another To Do list.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9c4846f-me.png

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...851723f-me.png

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0ed25c7-me.png

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4430783-me.jpg

and finally the reward a Trip to Dairy Queen.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...cd62751-me.jpg

214Chevy 07-03-2019 11:49 AM

I say yes to Line X'in the fenders and yes to powdercoating the bolts too.

Thank you and I am seriously considering one after my ride tonight.

glassman 07-07-2019 07:49 AM

Not sure on the Line-X, while it serves its purpose very well, the weight may offset any savings from the carbon inner fenders (?), could be wrong.
Did you want them for size or clean lines?

Funny, take the car apart while you can drive it (summer), and then have it ready for winter LOL. :underchair:

Oh, do you even sleep? I didn't think they sold speed in Chicago :lol:

Don't care about weight it was a tire clearance issue.

Yep, Love how they look when you open the hood.

Problem was we couldn't get it to run right and the motor needed a diaper it leaked so much. I just couldn't take it anymore.

Nope, not really on a good day I sleep 6 hours.

Morning Lenie,

Thank you for making me laugh and I love the four post. The guys I got it from were/are in Minnesota and since they are actually made in Minnesota I had them custom make it for the 2010 Camaro. Most people don't realize the 2010 is stupid wide and hangs over the sides of all the standard lifts. So I had them widen the ramps 6" and moved the legs out to the exact with I needed in the garage. It was about $800.00 more then the standard lifts but it was worth it. We also have a couple lifts in my warehouse that are the standard Bend-Pack and those are also nice.

Marty...Totally Stainless no longer sells the Ridetech specific kit 4 link kityou posted a few pages back. They took it out because the 4 link has changed somewhat. If I remember correctly....ours are near identical. I'll have to go back through the thread to double check.

Were you able to use the whole kit and how did it workout? Do you recall any issues?

We had to custom make the kit. I basically told him the new sizes and he sent me the hardware.

ps - They are so easy to work with and have to be one of the nicest vendors ever.

cpd004 11-04-2019 03:35 PM

Thanks! I have a feeling that they may have put the kit together specifically based off of your measurements. They no longer offer it as Ridetech has changed components a few times.

Yours appears identical to what I have.

2nd Chance Camaro 2.0 - Holley EFI & 4L60E
2019 10-15 Update - Holley EFI & 4L60E

www.2ndchancecamaro.com

Well it looks like it time for me to start updating this thread to where I am today. So what started as a simple EFI swap
turned into version 2.0 and yes I am having fun and enjoying working on the car again.

Out with the old and soon to be new flat hood and the RS 3 light conversion.

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...749b79e-me.jpg

These will be going to Ron who is working on my old green 70 Camaro.

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...81427cc-me.jpg

Installing the original hood hinges that where powder coated by the guys at Pro-Tek Powder Coating in Joliet Illinois.

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...1c256cd-me.jpg

The Cowl screen will also be going to Ron

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...1c256cd-me.jpg

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...e3aab32-me.jpg

Down Bars are going to be swapped out with a different style.

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...28ec6d6-me.jpg

Since the bars are being removed I will have have the holes filled in the firewall.

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...37ca0b5-me.jpg

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...4c33cd4-me.jpg

I am really looking forward to the new look.

I can't let Mike have all the fun.

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...adfb764-me.jpg

So this would be a good time to smooth the firewall.

http://www.garagescene.net/_data/i/u...a49da5b-me.jpg

What the heck Might as well powder coat the frame gloss black while we are here and that is how we got to here.
