James,
What an amazing car. Great updates. |
Its been a busy week and we have made some great headway on the assembly. We are just about done the wiring using the ISIS system - the front and rear Powercell boxes are in place and the wiring for all of the external systems is in place:

In addition to the wiring we have been making great progress in and out of the car. The new dash has arrived - we fitted it yesterday and finalized the installation today. Tomorrow we'll work at getting the Vintage Air vents and controls mounted and as soon as the Racepak dash arrives we'll get the instrument cluster together. |
A couple of random pictures from the last couple of days:
Our rear tow hook is in place... http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics...20hook%201.JPG http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics...20hook%202.JPG and we are getting closer to pulling the trigger... http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics...valvetrane.JPG |
Looking awesome!
I could have used a tow hook last week!! |

How long till the electrical system is live? I would love to know your opinion on the system once it's running. I have been looking at it for a while but I'm a little eeeery about facing the gremlins, if any. very interesting system.

One of the many things that I like about the ISIS System is that, if anything, the gremlins will be easier to deal with given the systems smart diagnositic capabilities. One of the other things that I like is that the switching side into the Mastercell is via grounds and not hot wires. Saves some wear and tear on switches and eliminates a bunch of hot wires under the dash. I'll keep you posted when we start running power to some of the loads. |
