Cheers for now. :lateral:

wire frame, fleece or aluminum skin and rivets? It would depend on what genre you are working from. Nice work bud.

Considering how many times Ron has been fleeced on this project... I think the genre is a given. :unibrow:

I thought maybe it would have been easier to make one big new piece instead of welding in 6 seperate pieces. It is easier to make them in smaller parts though. Just my thoughts.

Foam, form, fabric, resin, filler, and naugahyde....

You can never get enough naugahyde in a project !

Dude that is his rendering you can't just post that on the net without his permission. Let the project unfold so everyone can see it come to fruition at the same time.

Gandalf 12-07-2012 07:37 PM

Ok - enough of the back-seat shenanigans you two - get back to work! Ditch the wood. Plenty of room back there for a helmet already. 30days tick tick tick.... February approaching ;-)

(Yeah - I'm just jealous yours didn't take 7yrs to build....... "yet". J/K).

sorry I deleted it

I don't know but it looks like weight and negates the reason for removable bars. I do think it fits the theme of the car. I think you should focus on a nice cruiser as you are building the wrong car for being a world beater.

Not hating, just being honest. It's a really superbly built car that shouldn't fall off the deep end of chasing every .1 of a second. I've discussed it with Ron.

I'm not building anything. I certainly wouldn't build the same car as before and go out and beat the snot out of it. I can tell you that. It was the wrong car for my ideals at the end of the game.

Personally -- I don't see any problem with having show cars - race cars - and big fing trucks to haul them with....

Understood, and true that about the game changing. Our desires and need change. It would be nice to have a few of each and have the best of both worlds... ZL1 street bruiser for cruising, an amazing custom built track car, Big Fing truck to pull what ever you wanted.

I get ya.

I'll take my height and charm over that, anyday.
