I love the outside-of-the-box thinking on how/where to mount the engine accessories!!!!!!

Seeing the car with a steering wheel and seats is cool.

Keep the pics coming.

I'll second that thought. Are these mounting options only viable due to the fact that you are solid mounting the engine? I would think that if it weren't any movement would cause belt issues.

Musclerodz 02-26-2009 01:21 PM

I am guessing the motor is solid mounted? It would have to be since accessories are bolted to the frame.

wiedemab 02-26-2009 01:31 PM

Yeah, I know they have the engine solid mounted. I didn't think the frame mounted access. would work if it wasn't though. I think you are supporting the fact that it wouldn't.

BTW- This project continues to amaze me!

I thought the big aluminum motor plate would of given away the fact that it was solid mounted.

Yeah, I realized that they are solid mounting the engine in this car. I guess my wording was ambiguous.

Has anyone frame mounted accessories successfully with an engine that is not solid mounted?

I realize that this isn't directly related to this project, just a question that popped into my head, so I should probably have save this thread from the derailment that inadvertently caused.
