I agree. I raised the rear roll center to shorten the roll couple and stiffen up the rear of the car to reduce body roll. I installed a stiffer front sway bar and stiffer front springs. and I lowered the car 1" in the front and .5" in the back. This all helped...

Now I will be lowering the rear roll center and increasing the rear spring rate. and adding power steering.

Rick, I have had afcos on the front for 6 years now. I like them. Those new pics are showing the take up springs I added so that I could got to a much stiffer front spring without building droop limiters. I took out the TCI shocks out of the rear 2 races ago and added the ridetech SA. TCI is rebuilding the shocks and I will be using them as a backup or on another project.

Bryce,

So what's the next upgrade for your hot rod?

Gotcha.

What is the objective with running take up springs?

The shocks are a 4" stroke. I set them up at ride height with 2" in either direction. The current setup is 225 lb springs my preload is zero at full extension. If I go to a stiffer spring and keep the same 2" travel in both directions I will have no preload at full extension. to keep the spring seated at full droop (which my car sees when autocrossing) I need the take up springs.

Gotcha. Thanks for explaining it.

love the work you've done.

I have had a 64, and a 65, but that was over 30 years ago.
