It's been a long couple of weeks and we have been making lots of progress but at this point there are some things that will have to wait.
What I can share is some of the good and bad that we have been dealing with as we try to get everything together... The ISIS System has been powered up and, I have to tell you, is very impressive. The rear Powercell is complete and fully functional - http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/IS...stall%2017.JPG and is being controlled by the front mounted Mastercell control box. The diagnostic ablilities are awesome and make the system very easy to deal with. We fabricated a hinged mount for the Mastercell beneath the dash to give us easy access; I'm getting too old to contort myself like a pretzel to get under the dash - http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/IS...stall%2019.JPG Which we have been laying out - pics? - nope Despite all of the complexities that I had heard about Racepak dashes in the past, the new IQ3 seems to have solved many of the complications. Despite having some difficulties at first, once we had all of the pieces that we needed it was very straight forward. On the down side, we had to start working on a new hood. I stole the NOS hood off my wifes '67 (if I don't start working on it soon there won't be a lot left of it) and Chris started stripping it. http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics...20hood%201.JPG Unfortunately, our carbon hood had a couple of problems that we just could not overcome. Fortunately, the steel hood is almost perfect - http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics...20hood%204.JPG It should be in paint by the end of the week. http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics...20hood%207.JPG |
We are doing a final test fit of the grill and headlights -
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics...rs%20front.JPG The Penske shocks should be back by mid week and we should have it running before the end of the week. With a little help from our friends.... |
Killer shot of the front

I'm a little slow getting to stuff on here but just stumbled across this today. I would have to say this is My new absolute favorite car. This thing encompasses almost every idea I've had for My car over the last five years it has been apart and I couldn't afford to do. The attention to detail is just jaw dropping.
For what it's worth You should love the Toyo R888's. I've been running those this season on My STi for autocross. Very sticky, very consistent and quite durable. I've run a dozen events this year (won My regional Street Mod championship) and the tires are only 25% worn. The closest thing I can compare them to are the kuhmo V700 Victoracers only even more consistent. Great tires. Once again though.............absolutly awesome car. :hail: :hail: |
This is probably the coolest car I have ever seen. Nothing but 100% pure business. Awesome work guys.
