No Plans to build the engine cover right now as we are trying to get the truck ready for the Sy Ty Nationals in August.

But it may happen in the future.

06-29-09 Update - Belly Pan is going on for the last time

Good Morning All,

All of the belly pans are painted and ready to be installed for the final time.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...27_KD_GT_6.jpg

I just hate covering up this back half.
All of the detail is going to be hidden

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...26_Josh_15.jpg

Not sure if anyone remembers.
But tucked under the Passenger Side of the Bed is the Factory Charcoal Can.
We've installed these on a few projects and no more gas smell.

Wow... it took me 4 days to get through this thread, and I thought for sure I was going to see a finished truck at the end. This build is absolutely incredible! I have never seen so much attention to detail go into a build and then been able to follow along every step via the internet! Great job, and keep us updated!

ccracin 07-06-2009 09:23 AM

Marty,

Looking absolutely spot on! Is Kenny on his way to Columbus with it? C'mon the people want to know. If not are you still going? It would be great to BS a while.
We'll be there Thursday.

Later,

07-15-09 Update - Turbos hit the Road Again

Good Afternoon All,

Well, it looks like the turbo's are back on the road again.

Last time they had over 2,000 miles on them before we ever started the truck
and it looks like they are going to get a few more.

Turbo are off the truck and ready to get packed up and shipped to Rockford Racecraft.
The good news is this time it's just the Exhaust Housings.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...11_KD_GT_1.jpg

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...gs/RR_Logo.jpg

Here's a good picture of Josh with his hands in the sandblasting cabinet.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...04_14_RR_1.jpg

Yep, you guessed it the Turbo Housings & Wastegates are being stripped.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...04_14_RR_4.jpg

Since we change the theme / color combination of the engine compartment.
The housings need to be Hi-Temp coated in black.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...04_15_RR_1.jpg

Can't wait to see them all put back together.

The turbos look fantastic in black.

Good Evening All,

Sorry I have busy at work and haven't had much free time for posting updates.
Not to worry I spent the last hour setting up the next 12 posts.

Just Checking to see what the door panels look like on the truck.

syborg tt 07-24-2009 07:59 AM

Good Morning All,

Yep, another post back to back.

The motor is back together and the headers are all brushed and look awesome.
I want to thank Race Proven Motors for setting us up with the primary's and Stainless works for all of the tubing.

But in the end the Credit goes to Dave at Comp Fab for building the final headers.
http://www.compfab.com http://www.raceprovenmotors.com http://www.stainlessworks.net

I'm much happier with the look of the exhaust now.

Can't forget Kenny from Kenny Davis Hot Rods. He is the one with the mad brushing skills
http://www.kdhotrods.com

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._KD_GT_024.jpg

and the guy's at Rockford Racecraft, they did all of the High Temp Coating on the Exhaust housings.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._KD_GT_026.jpg

Switching to the Power Steering pump from DSE has real cleaned up this area of the engine compartment.
Now I am going to have to clean up the frame -- can you say dusty.

Why certainly. Let me just throw my tools in my little black bag of magic tricks and ala-kazam, snap-my-fingers,click my heels, and two shakes of a lambs tail I'll be there. If I had your guys money (Eric and Marty) I would burn mine and catch the next plain out-a here. But unfortunately I have a wife new baby boy and a shop to run. Sooo I think Marty needs to make a road trip? It would be a perfect break-in for the truck. Let me know what ya-all think?

Hi Guys,

It's Friday and I am just finding a free moment to do a quick Update.

Since the nose came off the truck.
We decided the AC Condenser would look better in the darker color.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._KD_GT_049.jpg

Kenny modified the AC Condenser brackets so they would clear the grille.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._KD_GT_050.jpg

These even a horn for those pesky drivers.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._KD_GT_054.jpg

More to come over the weekend.

tones2SS 08-07-2009 04:04 PM

Man, I can't believe the detail in this bad boy.
Looks good Marty!

waynieZ 08-07-2009 07:15 PM

Awesome work !

syborg tt 08-10-2009 06:39 AM

Good Morning,

The motor is back together and the color change has made a big difference.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._KD_GT_022.jpg

Now that the motor is back together we contacted Nolan at www.campbellautomotive.com

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...d/caracing.jpg

Nolan wrote us a complete Engine & 4l80e tranny tune for the Big Stuff 3.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...ig_stuff_3.jpg

If your looking for someone to help you with your Big Stuff 3 tune make sure you call Campbell Automotive in Canada.
They went above and beyond to help us with the Truck.
These guy's are top notch !!

Kenny installed the program that Nolan sent us and the motor fired right up - First Try.
WOW !!

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._KD_GT_066.jpg

Sorry I can't blame Kenny for the poor Quality of this picture as I am the one who took the picture.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._KD_GT_072.jpg

Without the help of friends I am certain this truck could have never been built to this level.
Nolan and Campbell Automotive in Canada -- Thanks again you are the best.

Call them is you need help with any of your engine management problems. It could be the best call you make.
