That is customer service.

FYI - I am in no way trying to dis DSE just stating they need to work on there customer service and when a potential customer with $20,000 in cash walks up to you at a show and tells you they want to buy your product don't blow them off twice in the matter of 10 minutes.

I'm with ya, I like there stuff and there ideas, but I'm likeing the other guys, I'm going to buy ride tech shocks when my cars ready for them,

and it's all about customer service, and I have gotten some good CS from them too,

Love the build! Especially the involvement of family! My very first car, bought as a shell and pieced back together during high school was a second gen (30 years ago).

Hydroboost seems all the rage for brakes but you're using a conventional booster?

Jeff-

Thank you for the compliments on the build.

Why not Hydroboost - not needed in this application. Most people use Hydroboost when there is a space problem or a vacumn problem and this car doesn't have either issue.

I used them on Syclone/ Typhoon projects in the past and they really work. The pedal is super sensitive and takes some getting used to.

2nd Chance Camaro - Billet Optima Battery Tray

2012 07-15 Update - Billet Optima Battery Tray
www.2ndchancecamaro.com

Afternoon All,

The goal with this project is to keep it simple which means keeping the battery in the stock location. So I worked
with Ron Wilson at Wilson Muscle Cars to design a stock location Billet Battery Tray that would hold an Optima
Red Top Battery.

Hi Steve,

I like DSE products just not their customer support. The few times that I have had to call with questions/concerns it's met with resistance. The brake booster was a perfect example I had to show them the hood wouldn't close before they believed me.

Right before I started this build I tried to talk with DSE at GG Columbus and GG Indy about buying there subframe and both times I was blown off. It's to bad as there subframe was the most beautiful one on the market at that time.

Now that the Roadster Shop is making a subframe and full frames for 2nd gen Camaro's it's going to be hard for me not to consider there stuff for my next project.

Great build, love the racks for the bikes, and the kids in on the build,

I know the feling,

I try not to buy DSE parts, but, I have there stuff for my car,

I have a Scott Mock sub for my car, I'm kinda of over the high end
"leg humping" of all the big builders/parts suppliers get from people,

I've tried to talk to Kyle before, ignored me and walked right by, great way to get people to buy your product,

I got another great story but it cant be discussed on these fourms, involves a high doller Chevelle build and a well named driver,

I understand all that has been said here. I have had issues with the DSE parts. The booster bracket ( thanks Marty for the heads up) mono to multi leaf addapter, Wiper kit for my 79 camaro the switch bracket was bent the wrong way and they told me I was wrong until I email two pictures to them and they said UMMMM I dont know what happened  .

The only part that I did not have a problem with was the DSE deep tubs. and the only reason for this is you have to make them fit yourself.

I do like the parts they make and usually hear good things but I will not be getting any more parts from them if I can help it. I may not have a ton of cash to spend but its still real money.

All this being said I have had nothing but GREAT customer service with the guys at Ride Tech and now I know the company that will be getting my money.

Marty keep the pics coming and sorry for the rant

Dont forget you still have my number for some pics

Brandon
