The Briz was in Victoria BC for Deuce Days.... Says the roadster will be on display at Grand National Roadster Show... that it's having the hood built now and will be in body and paint first of August....
Gotta love the way these guys get on a project and see it thru to completion. Deuce Days was amazing... 986 registered cars -- cut off date was for 1951's. There were so many people in the street that you couldn't even tell there were cars parked there. I was on the lawn of The Empress (because that's where real roadsters got to park). Amazing group of people up for this show. Ed Pink... Paul Atkins... Briz... Vic Edelbrock... Sid Shavers... It was a who's who of hot rods. The show only happens once every three years. http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...io/file-49.jpg |
Wow big crowd, and the weather looks great.

Gotta put this one on my calender for next year, looks like a great show. Can't wait to see your car Greg, think I'll make road trip arrangements to be at the Grand National Roadster show.

So THESE ARE NOT THE WHEELS that will be on the car -- these are just rollers --- but the hood and hood sides are done.... so now off to paint!
Those wheels make it look like a girlie car!! UGH!! LOL http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...io/file-51.jpg http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...io/file-52.jpg |
Yeah but it does have that old school look to it  by the way it looks so great the way it is seems a shame to cover up all the metal with paint. :poke:

Thanks Rick! Personally -- there's nothing worse than wide whites.... HAHAHAHA OMG I can't stand them! I almost didn't post up the pics because the car went from "traditional with attitude" to "traditional with absolutely nothing going for it"!! I'm still blown away by how nice the body was as shipped from the factory. My buddy Pierre was going to build one of these -- and in fact I'd called Phil at The Roadster Shop to inquire about setting the body on a chassis for him.... then he found and bought the '57 from Ironworks.... and then he saw my body as delivered and started having second thoughts! It won't take much work to get some paint on it. The hood and sides are all custom of course -- because the position of the grill is different -- it's pinched -- and sectioned. |
Greg - It's looking real good!
How's the profile of the lower frame rail? |
