Another alternative for those intersted in fender washers is to use stringer washers from boats. I have been using these for years. You can buy them is various colors. I normally use a chamfering (spell??) tool and use a counter sunk allen. Very similar to what Steve has done. Once again Steve, looks killer!!!

Yea, noticing stuff is my strong area. It's also a curse since I notice every single imperfection in anything I look at.

I was brutal when I was a judge for the RG Canning shows many moons ago.. lol

And I might as well toss out an update.. still waiting for the wheels to get done..

Almost looks like a flying car.

Killer stuff, Steve. The article in the February issue of PHR was awesome, too.

That is just a sick ride Steve. I don't what lights it's under in the pics, but that paint absolutely POPS. Very straight. Can't wait to see it hit the road.

Funny story. The whole install was supposed to be in Feb. I ended up asking to split it into two stories because there was so much info. The problem was that I only had one lead shot. I scrounged around and decided to use that shot in the feb issue for a lead. The real lead shot will be in the March issue (part 2)

I almost screwed myself by spliting the story. Johnny was like, where's the lead and I was.. "uhh, ummm"

It's a funny color. with no strong light on it the color looks like a dirty old Penny. When strong light hits it all the gold comes out and it's pretty freaking amazing.

You know, it looks like a show car in the pics but in real life the paint is 8 on a 10 scale and panel fitment is certainly not show car worthy. But, I hope it makes up for all that in attitude. I plan on driving this thing alot and hard, so I didn't want to spend a bundle making technically perfect except for the engine bay. I would stack the bay against most cars.

I am still working out what I'm gonna do with the interior.

This is awesome. It has given me new inspiration for my 1/12th scale 69. I am in the process of duplicating your wheels and tires now!

When installing your glass, did you do anything special to finish off the gap between the trim and the body?

We always fill the gap with strip caulk. It takes about a day to do both the front and rear windows, but it gives the car a clean finished apperance.

Yeah, a lot of people have moved to that color since you first posted that car. Back in the day.......

The interior, you did right by your old blue Camaro. Less is more for that entire build! The meanness is what sticks out on that ride.
