What is obvious to me is; as a treatment it provides quality of life. Greg is evidence of that. He's a little more goofy than surly these days but he is living life not feeling like **** while chemo and radiation kills his body in an attempt to fight the cancer.

I drove most all the way home today --- that's about 6+ hours of driving. I only hit 155mph once..... then Gwen turned green.... LOL

F CANCER!

Greg
I'm glad your taking the bull by the horns. I've been getting updates from Mario, and glad you have the drive to enjoy the most you can. Hope to see you again in Vegas.

Since I was in LA when Greg and Gwen were driving in to pick up the new toy, I drove across town to catch up with them at the dealership. I can attest to Greg's state. Other than being a little loopy, he seems great!

It was great to catch up with you Weld and to meet Gwen and Alex. And thanx for getting me that test drive in the i8! :drive:

Well if that wasn't the "Cluster F" of a car deal -- but we DID finally get done (after I lit up the salesidiot and the sales manger)..... but it was fun that you came over ---- and folks ----- driving in LA isn't a pleasure! I think Bryan spent 2 hours in stop and go traffic ONE WAY to come over.

DBasher 08-15-2016 11:53 AM

So now what?

You've got Charlie storing the mustang for you...well played!
Gwen's happy with the new whip, and your health I'm sure.
Socks have been ordered...

Shops gone, hot rods are gone, tools, truck gone...F'ing cancer gone!

Going to be hanging at Club 220 or???
Xoxo

LA traffic sucks! 6 hours round trip for a couple hour visit. That's ok, it was fun.

I could tell that Gwen was about at her walking away point. It was a good looking car, so I'm glad you were able to get the deal done! Sounds like you had a fun drive home too. :)

Now that the house is done ---- I can ramp up this project. Switching designer to Erik Black. Found a perfect color -- 2016 BMW Fashion Grey

Stuart....... They're B O R I N G <kidding>..... but OMG are they FAST and QUICK!!!

Charley talking me in to "launch mode"..... This thing pulls like a freight train - literally! Where the Mustang has as much or more power -- but can't hook up.... this thing is HOOKED UP! All four wheels scratching and clawing to 100. It's pretty sick.

Gwen and I were doing 155 ---- top down ---- and that wind screen thing "up" ---- and there's NO BUFFETING even then! That's some serious wind tunnel testing right there!

You know -- we all grow old and change.... and we AIN'T the beautiful young thangs we used to be.... But after 44 years together (married 37 in November)... I love her way more now than I did when she was 15 (not kidding here folks - we've been together since then).

I pity those that have never had the love of their lives - for their entire lives.

I know Charley and Shirley have a similar lifespan together. These days not many seem to make it last.

Most folks don't know that while I was "the man" early in our lives.... I retired quite early to stay home and raise the kids (that right there explains them) - and GWEN turned in to the star. Our success is squarely on her.

DBasher 08-17-2016 07:32 AM

I hope you know there was no disrespect in that quote...I've told you before and I'll say it again, you've got some wonderful (and beautiful) women in your life. Hell, even Alex is pretty....:D

Never took it any way but as a compliment. It just stirred me to paw thru some old photos and cry just a bit..... Seems to be my mornings these days -- coffee by the fire pit -- watch the morning develop -- and rummage thru all my old baggage. You know the scene.

DBasher 08-17-2016 08:22 AM

I do. Not a bad place to be and it sure beats the alternative!

I've got the week off and was doing the same this morning...sitting on the front porch watching the dog yell at the deer over at the river. Sure is nice not rushing out the door to get downtown.

My wife and I have been buddies since high school, together 20yrs, married 16.

No bad days

Robyn and I have been together 18 years. Don't know what I would do with out her.

I absolutely get it. November will be Kim & I's 25 year anniversary. We're two peas in a pod. She's the prettier, nicer, sweeter pea ... and I'm ... well you get the picture. LOL

We've been through a lot of good & bad, I wouldn't want to live without her.

Man....this thread has improved ten fold, since we've got off the yellow Ford subject, and moved forward. Full of like!!!!
Greg, tell Mr. Middle Finger to start a new thread concerning the yellow pos. I've been thinking about selling you my Chevelle, so you and Ron can "fix" it like the mustang, and then you can sell it back to me for pennies on the dollar.
