This car is absolutely awesome..... your attention to detail is way above what most guys can even imagine! What makes this really cool is the fact that you are going to drive this bad boy!! Great work Mario! Now....can I apply for a job?? Dave

So, is it SEMA this year bro?
Another reason to attend. D |
As always thanks for the props guys! Sema is the goal and its all on me right now. Troy gave me a time frame of when he needed the car back and I missed it by a ton! Enery time you miss those deadlines you get pushed back. So everthing has to fall into place perfectly from here on to make Sema happen this year. Stay tune .:bang:

Keep on Keepin' On!
LOVE LOVE LOVE your car my friend!!! Keep doing what you're doing! As you said, it's all in your hands now... and who better?!
Stielow once said that if you just do one thing to your car every day, it's progress toward completion. You got this! And it'll still be done before mine! LOL |
I hope you make it Mario, I can't wait to see it in color.

Just think of Rob Schnieder in Waterboy saying "You can do it". But you have to say it the way he does it or it won't motivate you too well. :lol: :trophy-1302: |

Started first round of blocking. I never used a polyester primer before so I wasn't sure how it was going to sand . I was pleasantly surprised when I started with the 80 grit at how easy it was.! Did the roof in less than 45 minutes using my big azz long board . The rest of the car should go pretty quick!
|
I don't understand a guy that owns an entire body shop -- doing this in his home garage?? WTF is with that? You just don't get enough of that sanding dust all over everything at work - that you wanted to bring some of it home too??? LOL
Looks good Mario! Is it done yet? |

[QUOTE=Cosmo mentis;624594]Mario,
We 'deserve' an update on your beastly '6Niner... #allLatGthreadsubscribersmatter Just didn't want to keep posting pictures of boring ''sanding'' pictures because that's all Mike and I have been doing! But the good news is, I have come to my senses and decided to return it to Troy at the end of this month.I came up with many reasons to do this . I looked at the main reason and that was ''time'', I work close to 100 hours every week witch only leaves me with Sundays ,I'm only able to get 5-8 hours of work in. At that pace the car will take another two years to complete!!!! The second was getting all these finished panels and parts back to Troy with out damaging them. Troys shop is two hours away something is going to get F^CKED UP! And that's not counting going back and fourth from my house to my shop. Plus my friggin garage is a disaster its going to take me a week to get that clean! So now it will go back to Troy for him to finish the jamb work and engine compartment, and some small detail work. I have all the exterior body done. Then once Troy finishes I'm going there to lay the color on at his NEW SHOP!. I feel this is best . I have to come to a end with this project and this is the only way its going to happen. Troy wants two cars at Columbus this year. One for Street Rod,and one for Street Machine. So that's about it ! Stay tune!!!:D :G-Dub: :popcorn2: |

YEAH!....... LOL |
Good update Mario!! Very smart decision.
We'd all like to build our own stuff in our own garage and be able to say "I did that".... but the reality is.... it takes WAY WAY WAY more time than we think it does. It usually requires some help too! Like "hold this" while you bolt something up. Love ya buddy!! Glad you're moving forward. |
I agree. I think it's a smart move to have Troy finish the work. Good luck Mario!
