yeah and I have holes in my shoes and scars to go along with it. Worst thing is you not only get the molten metal but when it goes through the shoe it gets covered in molten plastic. So it burns and it sticks to your toes. lol

 :lateral:

Thanks Jody! I am not real "up" on the first gen options and did not realize those were available. Was that a factory or dealer (maybe both?) option or aftermarket? I had never seen them on any Camaro before.

Sorry for the late response, but just getting around to checking the forums after the holiday. What Jody said is correct...the holes in the fender are for the Vigilite system. This was a rare, factory-installed option that used fiber optic (Crofon) cable to allow the driver to monitor the front and rear lights. The front light monitor was mounted inside the chrome bezel as shown in in the picture that Jody posted, while the rear monitor was mounted on the metal channel above the package tray (you could see the rear monitor by looking in the rear view mirror).

Pretty neat (albeit kind gimmicky option), but parts for the system are very costly and darn near impossible to find.

Yeah...I'd have to agree. That's an awesome picture. I think I need a bigger copy so I can add it to my screen saver. :D
