Good Morning & Happy Turkey Day
I know it's been a long time since my last post. But the wait will be worth it. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...ngineering.jpg New! Titanium Turbo Shield Custom fit T3 & T4 Titanium Turbo Shields with LR Technology provide the ultimate means of reducing turbo lag while serving as a superior heat barrier - shielding and protecting engine components, hoods and painted surfaces and offers a very cool looking carbon fiber look. Made from pulverized volcanic rock then strained into a fiber material, Titanium Turbo Shields can withstand direct heat up to 1800 F and 2500 F radiant heat. This means retaining more heat in the turbine and less damaging underhood heat. The result is a cooler air intake temperature and a boost in horsepower! Stronger and more durable than other turbo blankets or shields, Titanium Turbo Shields include a hi-temp rated silica insulation padding under the tight outer layer for extra added protection against extreme turbo-generated heat. -Anchoring hooks are incorporated to secure shield -Each Kit Includes: Turbo Shield, 2” x 15 ft roll of Titanium down pipe wrap, two 14” stainless steel zip ties & fastening wire -Shields are also sold separately http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...ery_Room_3.jpg We accidently ordered the wrong size but Kenny had to see what they looked like on the truck. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...Mishler_10.jpg http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...Mishler_13.jpg http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...Mishler_17.jpg http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...d/DEI_Logo.jpg okay my favorite net only DEI Image http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._Model_640.jpg |

Good Day All,
As Christmas is getting closer I figured it's time to do an Update. The orginal rendering that Bob Thrash did showed the truck as an OEM Concept Vehicle. So staying with that theme it was important to find the right Seatbellts for the truck. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...t_Logo_640.jpg When I was at Sema I met Steve and his partner from Seatbletplanet. These guys are top notch and know more then you can every imagine about seatbelts. www.seatbeltplanet.com The main reason we choose the belts from Seatbelt Planet is they are NHSTA approved. Something that your standard 4 or 5 point harness are not. Just remember, if you are in an accident and the passenger in your car is not wearing a approved seatbelt I am willing to bet your insurance company is going to have fun with you. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...5_Sema_301.jpg Another huge selling factor is there color selection, this is just a few that they had on Display at Sema. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...5_Sema_302.jpg Wait, is that a Syborg T-Shirt at Sema. Very cool T-Shirts are available @ Mac Ink http://www.mac-ink.com/shirts/SyborgTT.html http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...5_Sema_853.jpg Okay, here are the finished belts for Syborg. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._Room_3162.jpg Okay, we've been getting a lot of questions about the interior. I figure it's time I start sharing some pics. Speaker Grille for the Kicker Solo Classic S8C 8-Inch Subwoofer. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._Room_3194.jpg Back Wall of the truck is starting to take Shape. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._Room_3205.jpg Keeping with the OEM theme. We choose Kicker for the Sound System. Tracy is doing a great job adding all the little details to make everything look and feel OEM. www.kicker.com http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._Room_3217.jpg A & B Pillars have been covered in Leather. Nice upgrade from the stock Plastic. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...m_IMG_3282.jpg and finally here is a sneak peak of the dash for all that have been asking. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...m_IMG_3301.jpg www.recoveryroominteriors.com |
Lookin good Marty, but you already know that. Keep those pictures coming.

Exhaust Tips
Awesome work on the interior....you're driving us crazy with all the "previews". Marty, I was relooking at the last 18 months of post and noticed the Stainless Works Exhaust Tips. Did Kenny shape it to fit the body or did Stainless make a custom shape for you? Is the Exhaust Tips solid so they can be ground to the shape you want? Thanks!

As for the exhaust Kenny did do some rework on them but they can pretty much custom make anything you need. |
Unreal
Marty, I've been watching your thread for the last 18 months since joining Lateral-G and while it was truly impressive watching it week to week, it was unreal looking back at what you've done. Words and pictures can't describe all the research, patience and rework you invested in getting it just right. I just moved my project from my garage to AutoKraft so I'm spending the holiday break looking at all the highly detailed projects to get ideas. Your's was on the top of my list. Any pictures, details of your final pedal assembly would be appreciated. Thanks!

As for billet pedal arms those are on hold till after it get's back from Interior. Or if your talking about the wilwood dual master I can't point you in the right direction. |
Nice choice on the interior leather
Looking forward to seeing the seats & dash detail  |
Looks good Marty! Im in the process of doing my interior.

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuupdates? :D

Good Afternoon All,
The snow at Tracy's shop has been brutal and since there has never been a deadline on the truck I told him Family first and get to the truck when he has time. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._Room_3417.jpg There are not many resources for good quality parts for truck owners. So far LMC Truck has been a life saver they seem to have every part that we have been unable to find for this build. Instead of Tracy making a headliner from Scratch I contacted LMC truck and ordered one of there ABS Headliners. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cst/full.aspx?Page=111 I originally ordered the headliner in black but as some of you know the interior color has changed. Tracy removed the black material and prepped it for the new fabric. It make life better when you start with a quality part. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._Room_3206.jpg Tracy & Jimmy recovered the headliner with the material that matches the interiors leather http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._Room_3211.jpg Installed in the truck - You can start to get a feel for what the interior is going to look like once complete. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...m_IMG_3262.jpg In order to make the dash look finished it was important to add a glove box door. This will also help us if we need to get to the MSD box or the Big Stuff 3 ignition. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...m_IMG_3283.jpg |
THAT'S IT !!!!!! Your killing us with these so called getting a feel for the interior shots. Try and stand back before you take a pic.
|
Love it Mark!! Right on!!
Marty --- There's even a song about this... "Back that big phat A@@ up...." |
