Surgery to repair the knee tomorrow at 3:00..... and I don't care how ambulatory she is -- I'm punching the throttle on the rig April 30th.... I can set up a camp stove with a stock of soup by her bed. She can make and eat soup from a prone position. |

She tore the ACL and meniscus 5 weeks or so ago hiking up Adams Gulch in knee deep snow without snowshoes... Then had to hike 3 miles to get out. Both Doctors here told her she may be able to do without the ACL and that she should try to just do physical therapy and see how she would get along. She was doing great.... and then tried to climb on the Willie Nelson statue in downtown Austin - and the knee separated and down she went. So now it's surgery repair it or she can't walk. Quote:
Totally true! And she'll do better and have more fun with me gone. Quote:
Hey -- after 43 years together... it's a good thing she doesn't know a lot of things!!! LOL |
Good luck to the misses on the surgery and hopefully a speedy recovery.

Another hot rod
Greg hope all is well
I know it's tough to hear a phone at the track and in the race car. That's what I tell my wife and all my workers and clients. Race time is my time! Was talking to a guy at the Virgina City Hill climb that has been to every one. He sat his family down and told them I don't care what happens they better not mess up his one big weekend a year. Any issues can wait until after the event It's all about Racing everything else is waiting Bob |
The original "breather" system on the '33 wasn't working very well.... On the San Francisco to Austin, Texas trip - I'd get little drips of oil from the filter - and it would blow back on "everything".
Since the car was being shipped back to Brizio's in SF for storage until we go out to drive it down for the LA Roadster Show.. I asked Roy to come up with a better solution. There's now TWO -8 AN lines (one from each valve cover) to a catch can mounted on the firewall - versus the ONE -6 AN line (from one valve cover) it used to be. http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/IMG_9172.jpg http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/IMG_9171.jpg |
I dig the car Greg. Looks like fun to drive.

It's a great driving little hot rod Brycen. Smooth - fast - solid. The one thing Brizio does is builds a SOLID hot rod. Everything works perfectly and fluidly. I wouldn't change a thing. |

I'll be there parked with a larger group of BRIZIO cars..... not hard to find. You've got my number.

I love those valve/coil covers on there. So sweet but so pricy.
