Rolling the lip really doesn't help on 2nd gens you will have more of an issue rubbing the outer wheel house than rubbing the lip. Ride height will have an effect on what you can get away with, also what tire brand you use. I know they should be the same no matter what brand you use but Michelins tend to be a little narrower than say Nittos. I have 2 cars with 275/40 -18's on the rear the Nittos are very tight w/ 18x8 4.75 bs and the Michelins are not. The car has been lowered 3" so it limits the front size 18x7 4.5 bs. w/235-40. I have no rubbing on the front a very slight rub in the rear under hard compression of the springs but not enough to damage the tire.

I'm running rear 18x10 w/ 5.75 bs 285/35/18 rolled lip but could easily fit 295/30/18. In front 18x8 w/ 4.5 bs 245/40/18 but had to modify the inner fender.
I'm running DSE 3" drop leafs in the rear and adjustable QA1's in the front with stock spindles and wilwood hubs

nice car.what did you do to the front grill? in the front of mine I ran a 2"drop spindall and the Qa1s for adjustability and for the back ran 10" rims 4"bs and narowed the rear after all that cost and work I wish I would have went with 12" and a minny tub, you could buy the wildest rims you want and build to suit your rims.

Thanks. It came with the urethane nose, I didnt like the look of it so I built it out about 1 1/2" and the grille is a stainless mesh that I rounded the edges of and bent it to the angle of the nose.
It was a big decision for me to either mini tub and go with 335's or stay stock and tuck the biggest I could. When I priced 12" wide rims and 335's that made the decision for me.
I run a carbed LS1 with over 400hp and off the line it hooks up great with the 285's. In my opinion, unless you are doing heavy autocross or running high hp, the amount of rubber you can fit with 10" wide rims is plenty

She's still in progress.. but I will post some when I get it back out for the season. Still needs a dash, door panels and a console but it's coming along nicely. Getting ready to tackle the fun task of fiberglassing!

Stock Front Clip with Lowered Springs and 2" drop spings in the rear

Rear Quarter Fender Lip - Rolled ( btw i rent the roller ) & smoothed the seat belt bump.

front - 265 35 18
Rear - 295 35 18

His future plans are to go full Air Ride on the car. His goal is the same as mine and that is to retain the entire back seat. If you mini-tub you lose 3" per side. Tuff fit for anyone in the back seat
