I like it. I'm looking forward to when it hits the streets and people start having fun with them (wheels, stance, etc).

Fortunately, the Camaro has character again. It's nothing like that vanilla bar of soap that is the 4th Gen.

And I agree, the new Challenger is an SUV. Man that thing is huge.

I was cruising through Detroit two weeks ago and seen a sweet new yellow Camaro, kinda cool to see one on the road in person.

The Clallenger would look sweet with a set of Super Swampers on it:unibrow: j/k

The minute they released the Challenger someone should of sent the design team back to the drawing board ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can anyone look at these pictures and say these cars even closely resemble a 67,68 or a 69 Camaro. Am I mistaken is this not what GM was going for? Man something got lost in translation here... Sorry guys this is just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions:yes:

That's why they are opinions, and yours is respected.
The General didn't do too bad though, there are over 11,000 pre-orders. They can't even fill them for this year's pre-September model run, so they didn't do too bad.

The one thing nobody can refute is that we have muscle car wars again between GM, Ford and Chrysler. Camaro vs Mustang vs Challenger. 400+ hp available from the factory. It would be great if they started up a Trans Am series with these again. Also, there are drag versions of each available - sure beats a ricer... Opinion only. :willy:

Inspired by....they are the key words for me.

We don't want them to be the same (even close) to 1st Gens. If they did that then our cars would all become "common" (ie modernised 1st Gens).

We love to take a 1st Gen and bring it into this century but still hail to it's root of muscle car mayhem !

I like that the 5th Gens are close but different.

I love em. Interior yeah, could be better, but hey no one is perfect, the perfect car would set you back way more than a 5th Gen.

can't wait to get my hands on one

I'd be pissed to have spent 8+ years restoring and modifying my classic car, only to have clones of it show up everywhere... I'm glad they're not a '69 replica, that keeps the real '69s special. :)

Mustang & Challenger have painted themselves into a corner on styling... where can they go from there??? 2012 Mustang II?

Sorry I have to agree with Mario here, while the new Camaro is nice, driving down the road it's not going to stand out like the Mustang or Challenger do. You see those and automatically know they were born from the 60-70's era, while the new Camaro is 21st century.

Are you kidding! I think once you see one driving down the street, you'll change your tune. They stand out.

I'm also glad that they aren't an exact replica. I love the look and let me be the first to say, check back this time next year and I bet the haters will have a change of heart...
