Well heres a few recent shots of the ol hatch. Its not completely done, still have some buffing to do and waiting on the cf so I can smoke it and install it. But the doors, bumpers, lights, and fenders are all on now. I also got the new carpet installed and put the interior back in. Ive since started the Firebird in the mean time until he gets me the cf to finish up
heres some pics....
dont mind the dust all over it, the wind has sucked lately lol

I think you're doing a great job, so keep it up. You're probably putting more effort into it than most pros would....so yes, Elite, your attitude however un-intentional does come off as pretty lame and self-righteous, maybe try to provide some actual help if you feel the need to post. Just a suggestion...sometimes it's hard to interpret sarcasm through the internet if that was your intent. We all start somewhere.

Watching your posts as encouraged me to re-do some of the poor work that I paid a 'pro' to do. I painted a Lotus Esprit I repaired once, and it looks better 10 years later than what I paid someone to do on my Firebird. Live and learn!

Well I know its been a while, but im finally able to finish up on this project. Yesterday I "Smoked" over all the carbon fiber parts including the hood, roof cap, duckbill spoiler and tailgate.
Should be pretty cool when its all assembled giving a look of an all black car but up close you will be able to see the carbon fiber through the darkened clear. Sorry for the crappy pics, ill take some better ones in the sun soon...

Nice job! I don't think it matters where you apply your skills it looks like you're off to a kick ass start. I'm hoping that the car does the paint justice when he's finished modding it. It would hurt to see him totally jack that car up after the sweet paint job. Post pics of the finished product if you can. Hondas are just as cool as any car IMO. It's all about the car itself to me, not the badge it wears...well unless it's a Ford Mustang. ;) (little jab)

I'd like to give you some advice too. I think it's stand up, two thumbs way up in the air that you're going above and beyond because it's what YOU want to do. Too many times have I paid for work or handed over my hard earned cash and been pratically spit in the face with someone handing me a half ass effort back to me. If it's all about money in your pocket then nothing will matter. If you care about what you do and feel good that you gave your best then it's a completely different thing. Ask the guy that works at Burger King (random example) why he hustles his ass off and takes time to ensure each and every customer is very satisfied when they walk away. Some people wouldn't even notice while others like myself wish they could shake your hand and buy you a drink. If you do NOTHING else in life, maintain a sense of Integrity. If you ever own a business or offer a service or even just help a friend, that type of thing will rise above all else and people will take notice.

Thank you for the compliments and kind words of encouragement. Even though I know Iam still a beginner at this it is comforting to hear good things instead of constant criticism from those who think I did somthing to cut corners. The mistakes I make are from learning and not necessarily lazyness. I try just as hard on the cars I dont personally like as much as I do the ones I do and I do my best to learn from every mistake I make.

How'd you got started in painting cars? I think I "need" to learn to paint professionally. Also, if you don't mind answering...how much did you charge him? Feel free to PM if you like.
